So today it is Elite : Disconnect Day!
Experience being disconnected from "contact server" 12 times within 15 minuttes, it's an orgy really, try it out and see where you end up next, are you still there or not?
Plese get this thing sorted out, the last 4 days have been horrible, first the change of packet size and now this , what is going on ?
And NO, my connection is a rock solid fiber, with uptime of 99. 99998 %, that is not the problem, even when E: D is of everything else works 100 %.
It is very irritating, to say the least!

I've had several disconnections today too. Kind of annoying when you're just getting warmed up in a conflict zone!

conflict zone: 6 times in 20min counting, I getting less than 10 kills per session time... that will take a bit 'till 108...
(hint: it's a hot-nerf from FD against mission stacking massacre missions hint hint...)

This is how i experience ED right now.

My internet has a mind of its own. Some days it works faster than it should, other days it works normal, sometimes it runs at about 10% speed, which for me,cos dual up speeds. Lol
And then it falls asleep and switches off.

I contacted Sky Tech Support.
And sods law, my internet worked perfectly the entire time they did their tests.

As soon as they finished... It throws a wobbly. Lol

It's threads like these that make me laugh at the "would you pay for a sub" threads.

This has to be one of the most unstable games i've ever played.

I was on for three hours last night without a single disconnect so I don't know what game you are playing.

In blaming the game, you are effectively saying every piece of your PC hardware, your router, cabling, OS and ISP are perfect, but Elite is flawed. Which I find hard to believe.

Pretty unstable for me today, numerous frustrating disconnects. On the verge of rebooting my router as this often helps.

Unusual as (for me) Elite is usually rock solid.

Seen some quite unusual and severe Lags, upto and including Missions Boards timing out again - and of course Disconnects lately.

Last time I deemed peak weekend server loads, or the Beta parallel Server load. But it's getting worse than usual indeed. Wonder what's up with that.

Sometimes my Client seems to lag out increasingly bad with playtime per session. At times, I had to restart the Game after about 60-90mins, just to get it playable again - which occasionally works, sometimes not.

Shut the beta down!! We need a stable LIVE game environment! Too many server disconnects since the the maintenance!
Let the us play or give us free stuff! (for all the free stuff peeps)

I have not had Internet connection for 5 days because a engineer never reconnected my cable after maintenance on the street junction box! I discovered my local library still runs XP and tells me any browsing is monitored..

That is what I'm talking about. Elite is normally rock solid, always. But not right now, and that is why i'm commenting on it.
It is not a rant. It is just to see , if others experience the same, which has now been established, so no need to seach my Pc for hidden problems...

Edit : And now we are there where I simply cant connect. Maybe I should take a walk and have a Bagel, 2 pints and 4 Chasers !

I have i7 6700k, gtx1070 and very good internet connection and still disconnects a lot.
You know devs are aware of the problem which was to obvious when multicrew was streamed (thanks God for that otherwise they wouldn't fix it ever).
Another proof is it all started with 2.2.
And still when you heard many ppl with same problem talking about that you throw blame on them.
Problem is not on players side, it is poor servers or game.
Devs are aware of it! Sorry your game isn't perfect!

Well today the game client took a long time to load. The executable eventually loaded up and all my custom control binds are gone.

I had multiple disconnects from the matchmaking server today whilst trying to deliver one last load of Tantalum to the Prism CG - not great when it puts you 55kls out from your destination repeatedly. I thought it might just be one server having a bad day so I logged off and shut down the client, gave it a few minutes, then restarted and was able to make the delivery. I then decided to stop playing and not long afterwards got a message that Win10 wanted to restart my laptop to apply an update. So I suspect that the update process might have been interfering - I've not had so many disconnects in one short period since early on in 2.1.

You find this HARD to believe?

My internet modem, router, cables and PC's have been perfectly stable and solidly connected for over 370 consecutive days, without issue, through two major snow storms, multiple high wind warnings, summer thunderstorms, etc.

So yes, when Elite and only Elite drops, I absolutely do blame the game. Because having worked in IT for fifteen years, I'm more than capable of isolating the source of TCP/IP connection troubles.

Not to mention that, if you're seeing a server error message, that means you reached the server that issued the error. If your equipment or ISP are down, you aren't going to see a server error from Elite, as you're going to drop on your side instead.
