Beta Testers that use a HOTAS + the new camera

Hello Commanders,

In the live game, if I want to use the debug camera to take screenshots, I have to use the bound Thruster and P/Y/R controls on my HOTAS, and it's pretty slow.

So, I have two questions on this topic:

First, is there a way to use a HOTAS, but still be able to use the mouse in the debug camera in the current live game?

Second - how does this work with the new camera in the beta?

There is a whole new tab for the camera suite in the settings. You can bind them anyway you want, to any controller you have, regardless of any other settings. Some other cmdr recommended using a spare gamepad just for the camera, but if you prefer a mouse that would work fine just as well.

That was me. So far the G13 is working out great in 2.3 Beta. Much more precise control than trying to integrate with a HOTAS and still fly while in the camera suite.

It also has a speed setting when you do move, so you can do slow pan s or fast zoom shots as well.

I dusted off my G13 for the very same purpose. Works great for me as a separate controller from the CH Products HOTAS setup.xc
