Recently started my first exploration trip. I've played since right after release, but have put off going exploring - until now.
Today is the first time I've actually felt legitimatly scared playing. I was jumping and scanning systems in a T Tauri field. I figured I would get through it soon enough, so I pressed on. But with half a tank left and only T Tauris in the neigborhood, it dawned on me that I might be stuck here with no fuel left
. Oh shoot. Less than 50 jumps and already I've already made a fool of my self, nice going[up]. I was carrying some profitable and rare scans and I didn't want to loose it. A few neutrons and earh-likes. Even a Herbig ae/be and an ammonia world! Luckily, I found a main sequence star in the midst of all the T Tauris and made my way to it with a few tons of fuel left
.
Another time I jumped into in between a neutron/white dwarf binary
. Luckily they weren't close to each other, and I'didnt sustain any damage. I still choked on my tea jumping into the system. If they were closer it would've been real pain [knocked out].
I guess you could say I'm on an "explorers high". I'm sure it will pass at some point, but I'm loving every minute at the moment
