Transmit survey data from anywhere

Hello,

I do not know if this suggestion has been posted yet, but here it is:

I would like to suggest a module that enables the player to transmit survey data from anywhere in the galaxy.

So that, when a player crashes for any reasons during a very long exploration, the time spent gathering data is not lost. To avoid abuse, the reward would be less than if the player returns the data at a station.

I think this would will make exploration intersting.
For example, we can land our Anaconda at the other end of the galaxy on an interesting planet without fearing to loose all the surveys done because of an unfortunate mistep during a procedure.

Cheers,

You eliminate all risk and gain reward. What is the fun in this? It also let people go oh I getting tired exploration let me turn in the data . Then self destruct to get back to the bubble.

With my suggestion, if a person wants to play a high risk, he would return his data at full price at a station.
A person using the transmission method would only get a portion of that reward.

The idea is to give us more choice on how we want to play the game.

With the current system, I can easily imagine a person just scanning suns to play it safe until he arrives at the Bubble or Colonia. Plus, mistakes can happen very easily after a long period of play when one is tired :)

I'm with Lestat on this one.
Exploration already has no risk at all, except from your own mind, of course. (Aka space dementia!).

I'd be up for a few more random outposts dotted throughout the galaxy though.
Pitstops as it were, 10,000s of ly apart of course. With basic repair and rearm, a commodity market and Universal Cartography. No mission board or outfitting.

Every role has to return to a dock to cash in rewards - be that selling cargo / booty for a profit; cashing in bounty vouchers or combat bonds or selling exploration data.

Thing is With a little common sense. There is no risk.

A few trick I can teach a new players

1 Never aim at a star or Planet always aim 2 3% off when flying at them. The only problem you might have is overshoot it and waste a little fuel. Set the star planet between the Primary secondary on the screen offset your direction of a star, planet.

2 Use your rader and make sure their no objects planet, star behind the system your about to scan.

3 When you decide to land on a planet. Look at the G force before landing. If it a high G force enter in your own risk and practice in the bubble. Find your comfort zone some it could be 2 g other it could be high G. For me It 2g because I have bad spec on my Anaconda.

There already areas in the galaxy you can drop and sell your data. I think they are adding more in 2.3.

There no excuse for impaired flying. That can be tired, drunk, or on medicated or not paying attention. We don't need to cater to those type of players.

Like today My friends was riding on a side by side atv up a hill side Drunk. I could of drove with them while they are drunk driving. But the risk was not worth the reward.

Yes I am fine with transmitting data back, go for it all you like.

Of course without being carried in a ship with FTL drive it should take as long as would any other transmission, say 22,000 years from Colonia, more from further afield. I'll continue ferrying my data backwards and forwards thanks.

Maybe, just maybe I would allow for an emergency canister drop, but you would have to go and fetch it, and there would be a risk of another CMDR finding it and stealing the data. Yes that sounds like a plan!
