Re: the engine trail colours that I believe are due to be added as cosmetic store items, any chance of getting Reaver like dirty billowing plumes of smoke, preferably so mucky that 2 or 3 such ships could fill a coriolis with smoke?

It was game play reasons. It was always envisioned that it was supposed to be a commander flying his ship in dangerous galaxy. If you were you able to put the NPC crew in the pilot seat while you are in the Gunnery chair, then that would turn the game from Elite, which works best in 1st person view, to something like Freelancer or Starfox, which works best in 3rd person view.
For the non-Multicrew, they wanted to retain that 1st person feel.
Dolphin: Can you please revisit the exterior lights? They clip awkwardly into the cockpit, shining on the window struts.

Question: With the controversy of ship design nerfing, hidden diminishing return formulas and the like trying to address engineered shield boost stacking and upsetting lots of players, especially veterans - Wouldn't it be easier to simply remove or re-design engineering mods for Shield Boosters instead?
At some point will we get an update on the future major development aspirational goals for Elite Dangerous please? (like for the kick-starter) . No details, timelines.... or no ETA and no guarantee!
Could we have an option to make the info and comms graphics at the top of the screen fade to dissappear please (all of it), when not in use. Would make ed even more pretty I think .
Is there an alien war or the horizon ;-) ... Will make great multicrew co-op.

Idea/question: sure you have thought of this. But for the future, it would be amazing to have parts of the ship perhaps failing (as they do now) but it would be possible to repair them with space legs during a multicrew. Would be epic, leaving the controls, fixing and racing back again.
And similar ideas for eva, but perhaps with more time.
Thats even before combative boarding of other ships or leaving the ship.

The new suite
Should possibly have a Center camera button - we should be able to Enter the cam suite, centered over the top of the ship like in old debug camera mode. this would make it easier to locate your ship for on the fly camera shots? Now it’s locked directly to the ship in full view, this dose not allow you to start filming, say a planet or nebula by itself before seeing your ship.
centered just above the ships cockpit gives us this choice.

Classic Debug Cam Vs. Camera suite
Please, will we get the option to select the classic debug cam or the new Camera Suite if we choose it from within the options menu?
This would be a great feature and would give us the ability to film movie style on on the fly reality TV style.

For switching cameras could we Have a selection to toggle a transition fader with a duration setting in milliseconds. This would be nice to have for when the cameras reset to their default start location so it will not snap super fast to that point but will graduate over time in milliseconds from one cam position to another? This would allow for a nicer transition between Cams. This would be Good for "on the fly" transition of shots.

Can Toggle Camera suite have an additional drop down SUB category of (pre-defined camera start locations to pick from) if this could be chosen. we could customize are own start location for the individual cameras.
