Xihe's future is in your hand!

As I foretold in the Powerplay forum, the Anarchy Diamond Frogs (player group) are attacking the Controlling faction Xihe Free, a Political faction. Should the Xihe Free lose this fight then the Anarchy Diamond Frogs will expand into more systems beyond Xihe. The fate of Xihe lies in your hands. If you are a proponent of the Federation and Democratic values then you will come to the aide of Xihe. If not then let it fall. The task at hand will not be easy as their are many Commanders already in the fight on both sides.

I've fought for the independence of Xihe before. I spent about a week battling reptiles when they first started their treacherous takeover of the system, before other matters called me away. Perhaps I should come back for a week or two and lend a hand. There are a few scores I wouldn't mind settling in them there parts.

This is reprehensible

Stay away from Xihe if you're in a large ship. Someone in a small ship there is repeatedly ramming large ships that exceed 100 m/s to get the station to blow them up. Unless you want to watch your speed VERY carefully the entire time it's really not worth getting trolled.

Some smarty pants just got me with that move at the CG. I was literally only doing 101 m/s but it was still enough to send me to the rebuy screen:)

Don't break the law and you won't have any problems. Sideys and Eagles can suicide into you all day and as long as you aren't going over 100 you won't be breaking the damn speed limit and the station won't care. This is like common sense for anyone flying any ship at a place in Open.

Speeding in ED is punishable by death.

EDIT: Fun fact, I do this at Quince in my sidewinder I use there. I don't even have to move. It has no shields so I just sit infront of the mailslot and you'd be surprised how many people want to boost into the station like they are smuggling some hardcore illegal stuff.

The irony is that the speed limit idea was supposed to make it harder to troll ships around stations and it's done the exact opposite by encouraging trolling.

Apparently even if you're doing below 100 m/s they can sometimes ram your ship from directly behind and push your speed slightly over 100 m/s, triggering the bounty.

Trolling players needlessly for your amusement just pushes even more players out of Open. Eventually new players will only try Solo play and won't even consider trying Open because of the reputation it has gotten. It just takes one large rebuy to convince a player to stop giving the trolls the opportunity by no longer playing in Open.

what about big ships like that guy who posts videos of himself boosting from inside a station to smash a smaller ship just entering the mail slot? they don't get the station after them doing that?

I only found out about this because I was trying to unlock Nemo.

Oh well. 2 player condas (I'm fighting for the Frogs) were victims of the newly acquired weapons I was testing.

Haven't seen the ones you're talking about, but I've seen some of the suicidewinder videos where the big ship survives long enough to try to turn around and get away, so I imagine being pointed facing outwards, pips to engineered shields and already boosting makes it a heck of a lot easier to survive a station counterattack after ramming someone to death.

I don't particularly have a problem with it as it is up to all of us to just obey the speed limit after all; obey the speed limit and the only person who gets hurt is the player suiciding. With that said, I think as much as I enjoy PvP I can't really see myself ever engaging in such play as it's quite a few notches beneath my standards. Basically put, I've got better ways to expend my energy then sitting in a station with a sidewinder down to 10% hull waiting for prey like a hagfish. See enclosed picture of hagfish for reference:

How does one counteract these frogs?

The only effective way to counteract them is through manipulation of the Background Simulation. I and others have been opposing them for months now and although we have delayed the frogs, we haven't been able to stop them. Once the Frogs take over XIHE in a few more days, perhaps the community will take notice and more will decide to join in the effort to stop the spread of Anarchy. Countering the frogs is possible, but for the moment the number of Cmdr's opposing them is simply not sufficient.

Please a little more guidance and advertising if you want the ignorants and unknowings to join you (e.g. me;))

Fight, manipulation of BGS, what does that mean in short words?
- Fight in the CZs against Diamond Frogs?
- Do as many missions for Movement for Xihe Free as possible?
- Or what else?

And what is there to offer, if there is something?
- A lot of missions? Which types?
- Can I gain some Fed rep as side effect?

Your appeal to stop the spreading of anarchy throughout fed territory almost got me, but for the uninitated ones there needs to be a little more to convince me to move in ,)
