Matching crazy star sizes

Well that would be great and I wonder how close they would let you get to the really big stars. And in SC even it would take some time to fly past them. Interesting ...

It should take you some time, as the largest know stars are about the size of half of our entire solar system. To a star monster of that size we aren't even ants, we would probably compare to it like molecules do to us. This makes you feel really, really, really small and insignificant in the giant scheme of things. Makes you wonder why not everyone on this planet realizes that and stops doing such insignificant things as warring and start to work together.

I was flying through one of the systems a few days ago, and suddenly realised the scale.

As I'm coming in to Dahan, slowing down from about 20c, you see the orbital paths of Wonderer, and the three "Claims" and I suddenly got an image of grains of sand on a sheet of paper. Just a few tiny grains spaced out a couple of meters apart. And that is the galaxy. It may look like a lot of matter, but it is just tiny grains spaced out really far apart.

I actually got a sense of vertigo!!

Sat at my freakin desk!!!

From a game!!!!

ED really does blow your mind :D

Looked at like that though, working together would also be insignificant :p

I would be a bit crispy afterwards :p

To be more precise:
I mean flying through the arc of a flare of course ;)

I'm sure they will make it real size, but i'm wondering how much different it will look, we do see different size of star already, but we see them about as big in the sky as the others(just after we jumped), it might not seem bigger before you look at the numbers, like how far you are.

As long as I see something around the star too...odds are stars that big have debris belts and would be cosmic dustbusters.
