Thats the problem with current beta. 'griefers' are way too OP with engineered shields, no amount of system authority will do anything. So FD is bringing the shields down a notch, only for the massive uber-builds of the big three. But people dont like it, because they claim they need the big shields to protect themselves against griefers. They also dont like to have strong police force, because its not fair to be shot at by strong cops 'when you accidentally shoot one when grinding haszres'.

Basically people want to keep their OP ships, want to keep sysAuth weak, and then complain griefers are a problem. Its hilarious.
FWIW: Saw a number of 'griefers' today, which is a somewhat rare thing for me. Went to Wyrd in my asp to grab some mods for my Viper. In Wyrd I saw two hollow triangles chasing two hollow squares, with a mean looking hollow triangle staring at me. I just went full-speed at the engineer-planet and crashed into the OC zone full-speed. Take some minor damage, wait for the FSD to reactivate and jump immediately to OC. Mr. Triangle is looking at me, so I race to the base and when he is getting a bit too close I go down at an 90degrees angle, so drop out into normal space bypassing glide, 50km from the base. I casually fly there to see if any numbnut is hovering there, and keep a hi-wake system ready. Its all good, I land and get my mods. Go back to Sol where my fleet is, and another FdL, aligned to some impy pp and wanted comes straight after me. I select a high-wake point and spool the FSD while staring at the FdL, with my back to the jump point. He thinks I am already alligned to jump and tries to fly around me. I just trun with him and jump.
It was fun, to be honest.
