THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY (Part 4)

I have a wierdsy speculation about this FR mystery. I'm leaning towards Wreaken having built (terra/thargaformed) a habitat for a captured "queen", where Sirius and possibly the Superpowers have been extracting tech information, and possibly trying to extract a location for Raxxla. Maybe the beacons weren't left to act as nav points, but maybe as bait for a trap. Could be the flower ships were Guardian after all, and they've been searching (UA/UP) for this location to liberate Thargs from an aggressive species.

Maybe that's what we'll have to decide on 4/29; the path we will travel. Or maybe it's just nine days to recover from the Onionhead Harvest Festival.

I'm guessing we have the release date for 2.3 now as well as a potential release for Drew's new book.

I'm currently in the Maia system having just picked up a ton of MA for Elvira. I've been following the Rift thread for a while but this is my first post. I don't get a lot of time to play and so I'm not sure I'd be able to be back in the Pleiades before the end of April. Wonder if I should hang around and wait it out?

Anyone considered that Meta-Alloys and Tantalum might be used together to make somthing similar to the old Torus drive? Assuming that TOW is Rebecca Weston, which I believe given the Anilian Gin and other clues in Altera, then maybe this is a similar storyline to the Oolite Saga? I know the story there is not canon but Drew made an interesting comment in his FAQ about Parallel Universes sharing a lot in common. The story in the Oolite Saga focused around the Exodus of non-human alien races, it's interesting to see a similarities in the storyline here.

Based on this thread's thorough investigations, I went onto EDDB and searched for all ELWs within the EAFOTS systems. I have compiled a list of all ELWs, their position relative to their star, and their distance from EAFOTS EU-R C4-1 as a reference point. I won't publish it just yet, as I am not sure whether EDDB's data is player-based discovery or if the website generates this based off the in-game data. if it's the latter, let me know and I will post my list.

My list is largely based on that, although a month or 2 back, how does it compare? My list in in my sig incase you missed it :p
AFAIK EDDB uses player data.

Your list is pretty comparable to mine, but I have 77 ELW's, where your list is only comprised of 50+. I can still post my list, but seeing as EDDB's list is comprised of player data, it may be pointless.

Not necessarily, we have no way of knowing whether those players did their jobs properly and checked every planet in the system for a beacon.

I think we all know how it'll go down. Hundreds show up in the same system that day. 5 people luck out and get in the same instance as Salome. She starts to reveal the big answer and those 5 players happen to be SDC. They one shot her with rails.

Good luck writing that into the end of your book, Drew.

"As her murderers flew off cackling into the comms, Salome heard a single word before all went black. 'pwnt'."

The end.

The coodinates are at the end of the message.... Right on commander....that you get every 256 kills in the original elite... So follow the reorte line, all the other clues etc, as far as you can go, till you can go no further, like in blind pew's video, then to get the Galaxy hanging far below (sry only half following all the details), then go up 256 in the height coordinate, here there be Giants.... (and thargoids and secret military stuff) is this a solution?
Or its in the core of the problem.. Prism or wherever the story starts (note to self must purchase reclamation) at coordinate 256 (?).
PS
I was long way from rift and bubble and found a crash site with weird escape pods and guarding Viper, I was taking the pods back, thought they might reveal something. But left them on some moon so pirates wouldnt attack me for cargo, is this just a random event, like poi, havent found much else on my little trip.

No it's not, why do you say that?

I tried to get as high as I can in EAFOTS above the Settlements, but I was running out on T3 jump injection and had to turn around before getting stuck. I don't know how someone made all these 80 ly jump. ether they have tons of T3 jump injection or really light maxed FSD Ship.

all systems I been to up there was claimed. Seem EAFOTS goes up till there is no stars left.

My Anaconda is sitting at about 60LY, with a bit of work (and a good FSD roll), I could get away with J1's...

With regards to the Reddit Post with the same Kahina promotional poster, there is a comment by drew that I thought you guys might be interested in:

EDIT: It may be worthwhile to get involved if possible to progress the story, as opposed to sit on the sidelines and see what happens (popcorn option)

It's typical that I am usually sitting on an aircraft when this sort of stuff goes down. and again, this will be the case.

Damn you, Universe!

I'm all in.

... though to be honest I won't be throwing my hat in for Salome. I'll be supporting Raan Corsen. If Raan says that we support Salome then ... so be it.

Can't rep more rt now, but I snarfed flu laughing.

Well, after many months in The Formidine, I've finished my scientific article with the results of the expedition. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks a lot to Momo for her help. She supervised my translation from Spanish to English, but all the mistakes are mine :)

Regarding the event on the 29th April.
.
I don't think Salome intends to start a war. It is my understanding that she regrets what she did in the latter stages of Reclamation and that this was one of the reasons she turned over the running of the Prism system to Cuthrick Delaney. She chose to become Salome rather than Kahina. Since then, her story has been one of searching for the truth behind the events in the Formidine Rift.
.
I suspect that the choice we will all have to make on 29th April will be of the red pill/blue pill type: a 'Do you want to know the truth? After this there is no going back.' question or challenge for us to face.
.
That said, there's no harm in being prepared for different eventualities. There is enough time to focus on getting your favourite ship kitted out and engineered and to have some practice flying it fully loaded. Perhaps having more than one ship ready to go at a moment's notice might be a good thing.
