Stacking ground attack missions?

Hi all,

I have been away for a while, is it still possible to obtain stacking missions to kill skimmers somewhere? Not too worried if the stupid amounts of money are no longer there, I actually enjoyed them once in a while and they gave me a reason to fly smaller ships with different loadouts.

PM me if there is some secret squirrel location lol :)

Fly safe!
Shef.

Yes I think so and there's still plenty of money in it as a bonus. I believe it will be limited to only accepting three missions simultaneously with the next update though. So get 'em while they're hot :)

I did some today in Eranis. Not a huge amount of credits but, i love firing them missiles and watching the skimmers go bang. 😊

Yes this broken and unbalanced aspect of the game is still exploitable.

Gotta be quick though if you wanna Join the other 'Elites' who have got fat from it as its apparently being patched out soon.

Its not all gravy. I got killed twice trying to attack skimmers at a +++ base. Its not a complete exploit.

OMG no! you died twice!!

People are stacking missions, using a wrinkle in the game that was missed which allow players to spam kill skimmers and the game counts them as ship kills. 20 stacked missions are completed in the same time footprint as 1 mission and people are earning hundreds of millions in a single sitting while doing it.

Fdev are patching it out because....??..... 'its broken'.

If its broken and unballanced and you are exploiting it....!!.... thats an exploit.

Skimmers don't count as ships anymore. I mean actual skimmer killing missions. You have to go kill skimmers. Yeah you can stack them but you have multiple targets on different planets. Its quite fun and a bit risky. I haven't made hundreds of millions from it either. You must mean the Massacre mission exploit.

So whats the latest cashcow short cut in game, that all the kids are doing now?

i wasnt aware the skimmer nonsense was stopped.

There's always exploits somewhere. I saw a video where people are taking slave smuggling missions then abandoning the mission and selling the slaves back to the station. LOL what the f...?
Thats gotta be the worst exploit I've seen.
I will take an opportunity for big money but there's gotta be some actual gameplay involved.

Massacre stacking is the biggest moneymaker right now, it's getting nerfed shortly, as the biggest moneymakers, strongest ship builds, fastest this or that etc in any particular meta always are in the next update. The game is always changing and there will always be a "fastest" path that some people love ("space combat is fun and this is a space simulator! You SHOULD earn the most doing it!"), and another group that thinks it's cheating, because if you aren't pirating npcs and earning bounty vouchers for your money in a cobra without engineering and FA off then you're cheap.

I say to each their own, the game is what you make of it. There are some things I won't do in the game; others that I will. It changes day to day. Everyone has a different view of how the game is best played and that's fine.

Wow, so much hate on your comments, time to take a break from the game maybe?..

There is no hate. These are only words on a screen. No facial expressions, hand gestures, body language, tone of voice.....

Any emotions that you think you see, have been superimposed by the reader.

But its no secret that i dont like cheats and players who exploit broken game mechanics to get ahead.

i shouldnt have to explain how cheating effects everyone when playing a game.

Yeah cause before you know it people are buying skillz with those credits..

Mid April when 2.3 drops massacre and planetary scan missions get capped at 3. Not a solution, not even a band-aid, and not even necessary.

I know, I speak blasphemy, but here me out:

While it may not have been As Intended, that we are able to stack these kinds of missions in various ways, it really does not change anything.
It doesn't matter how many credits you make, you cannot buy skill.
Sure, you can buy a fully A-rated Corvette or Cutter or Anaconda, have it over-engineered to the point of boring, and still completely suck as a pilot and get blown away by a sidewinder flown by someone with 1,000 hours of combat experience.

And then you can come here and cry about how you lost your 24 hour Big Ship and couldn't afford to rebuy it. We love to hear those stories.

Not really in agreement here. You're simply gaming a game. It's fair game whilst it's doable, plus lack of alternative more fun ways to earn the same amount of credits / hour in lieu of little to no content, make it more compensation than exploitation.

Do it whilst you can. You will thank yourself in the future.

Personally find it fun to find these money making systems using EDDB. After searching 7 or so promising systems found one close to my home system that hands out pirate kill missions and skimmers usually have to accept both not 100% efficient but it works make around 30-40 mil an hour.

The whole process typically takes 2 hours to complete. But yeah FD will be limiting these missions so that you can only stack 3. Don't know if skimmer and pirate massacre missions are considered the same or if I can stack 3 of each, guess we'll find out.

Thanks all. And thanks Macy, I will check out Eranis when I get on. Anyone got any other suggestions for good systems to do this please?

It's not skimmer stacking but in quince you can rank up fast with the empire doing the gobs of scan missions, and make maybe 50 million an hour of you are elite in exploration, which although pales to massacre stacking and pre nerf skimmer stacking, isn't bad. Also it's kinda fun I think - I attacked skimmers, even became a detestable pirate for a little while in my courier, preying upon the dozens of commander sidewinders there doing the suicide thing...I doubt the minded much since there isn't a rebuy for them haha

Now flying back to claim my kingship of the empire.

I'm not having problems stacking 20 skimmer assault missions. Timed it last night, allied with 5 factions out of 6 in station. All giving out skimmer assault missions to 2 close locations - ~70mil/hour.
