Engineers Eurybia Blue Mafia problems

So, everywhere it says you need to be Cordial with Eurybia Blue Mafia to get the Liz Ryder invite mission, even in the Engineer invite text.

So i did a couple of missions for them, and got a message about "increased reputation to Cordial"
Went back to the station (Chris and Lydia Paradise Hideout or whatever), but still neutral!
Relogged a few times, still just neutral.
Did another mission, returned to station and now i was Cordial in the station/mission board , BUT the invitation mission now requires Friendly reputation!

Did this happen to anyone else ?

Yes, it happened to me but that was a while ago now.
I was ranking up by selling them exploration data and stopped when I got the message.
When I left the station, I noticed that the authority ships buzzing around were still orange, but figured that I must need the next rank up to change them to green.
When I found I still couldn't access the engineer, I went back and dumped a few extra pages of exploration data on them in one go, logged right out of the game and restarted.
When I got back in, I was able to visit the engineer.
I figured the exact amount of favour that you need to get to the next level had been raised at some point, but the level that the faction raise message gets sent out hadn't and it was sending out the message well before you really got to Cordial.

When I was doing Liz, I was waiting for the invitation for so long that I became allied with them in the mean time. So I can't really say what is the minimum requirement. :D

same thing happened to me there twice. I got the cordial rep message when I was still neutral twice when turning in a quest. Once I actually hit cordial I got the quest pretty quick though. Weird bug.
