i dont need scroll back and see ur self....but i guess u cant read...

and what yaffle said:

Nope, you need to think about the data you are looking at. Quite simply, it's wrong by the data gatherer's own admission coupled to us simply not knowing the proportion of those who registered via steam not using steam and if they are reflected there. So you have a numerator of unknown quality, because it's from a poor source and not recorded accurately, divided by a number we can't agree on what it means. There is a technical term for basing all of of your statistical assumptions off that - it's junk.

I'm sorry to hear that you couldn't find any data to support your position.

Perhaps in the future you will take this as a sign reevaluate your position.

I am deeply saddened that you have chosen to double down on non-constructive discussion.

dance around it us much us u want...

I don't care what the steam charts say one iota. I am still enjoying the game.
Whatever other players are doing has zero to do with me. Look up sheeples and think for yourself.

What's pathetic is folks who feel the need to vent and rant about a GAME they aren't even playing anymore.

We all heard the same thing about NMS.

Then it came out.

On the other hand, if thousands of people had been playing a NMS alpha or beta before it was released, it likely wouldn't have sold anywhere near as well as it did. People seem to like what they've been playing so far in SC.

its on test yet till sc be released we have plenty of time :)

What part of that shows that 91% have left?

Also non-steam users and console players don't factor into steamspy stats.

The number of players who played in the last two weeks by the total number of players.

You are correct that it doesn't show console and non-steam users. But it is great for establishing patterns and trends.

Right at this moment No Man's Sky has a better retention rate than Elite: Dangerous.

Ouch.

Which people? :D

SC doesn't even run at the moment for me, let alone be a playable game !

We also have no idea how many active SC testers there are, were, or have any numbers at all to make a comparison.

It's all just still the Dream ;)

I've been using Steam on an almost daily basis for years, yet I don't have the Steam version of Elite. The same is true for several of my close friends.

Steam numbers mean quite little for a game that was available for months before its Steam release. And then there was the whole issue of Horizons initially not working on the Steam version at launch for pre-orderers. I know at least a couple of my friends did the workaround back then and still haven't bothered to switch back to the Steam version.

Not to mention that some people don't like certain Steam behaviours and take delight in messing with it's telemetry - when it's not messing it up itself, that is :D

Ouch.

Except has Frontier not sold something like 2.2 million copies?

That then only accounts for less than half the userbase currently.
