URGENT help needed in QUINCE!!!

If you want money, you'd better go and farm skimmers. Quince is quite good if you need Imp rank or some data (especially Adaptive Encryptors Capture, which is needed for G5 fast-scan mod for DSS), but not as good as skimmers if you need money.

That's the point, I don't have the time to go research any good skimmer locations. I had looked and searched but gave up as I just wasted too much time looking for those sweet spots. Saw Quince mentioned 2 months or so back so said why not and it does the job. But yeah, if I had access to the knowledge I'd jump on that. Then I could have more than enough (as I probably do already) to screw around as much as I want.

Again, I can see this being something that is frowned upon in Open, where there is that competition though. So I do get that argument as well...

Quince is also a fairly decent source of cracked industrial firmware... which you can get at the same time as the cash. Handy for dirty drives 5.

Get a Sidey or something with at least 24 dumbfire missiles and 4t cargobay.
Go to Lyncis Sector MC-V B2-1. Land at Baudin Landing.
Accept ONLY skimmer massacre missions that target two bases in Nagii - Banks Terminal and Nesvadba's Claim. You may also accept missions that target Harrison Installation - these can be completed by killing skimmers at Nesvadba - but be careful and read mission description: Harrison missions may ask for Goliaths, and there is no Goliaths at Nesvadba.
Once you've got 20 missions, fly to Nagii A 1 C (5 Ly jump + about 1500 Ls in SC).
Go to Banks first. It's simple enough - each relog gives you 3 skimmers. Kill them with missiles. Skimmer massacre missions ask for no more than 12. Once you've completed all Banks missions, go to Nesvadba. It is located on the same moon.
Now, Nesvadba is somewhat tricky. First, bump the ground (not the buildings!) in the exact middle of the base. This would spawn 3 skimmers. Next, fire one missile at generator (if you time it right, you can also destroy a couple of skimmers!), this would spawn another 3 skimmers ("Stinger" aka "saucer" variant - these also count for missions). Destroy all the 6 skimmers. Relog and repeat if needed.
Once you've killed 12 skimmers at Nesvadba, activate self-destruct.
You'll respawn at Baudin. Hand over the missions.
Repeat until 2.3.

And also for G5 long-range mod, and G5 fast-charge distributor. CIFs are probably the most useful item of them all.

OH I am so outraged by this. It's just not cricket!!! You guys should be ashamed of yourselves getting quick money like that...

Out of interest how would one go about getting to this system????

Aw, who cares? Just go and make money and rank until it's too late. You have less than a week, so be quick!

As a matter of interest, how long has this farce been running?
If this has been accepted for any length of time by FD, it is simply blatant stupidity, in my view, it is a complete disregard for the product they, themselves produce.
That is incredible..

Cheers Cmdr's

Yep, these 'ploit systems go a long in way in explaining how Anaconda'n'day is possible.
There should have been a galnet article about this epidemic of suicidal sidewinder incidents at these systems. [big grin]

Though seems that would take longer than just doing the surface scan missions that are stacked to 20. You can usually get about 750,000 - 1,600,000 stacked up in pretty decent time with those and then you just go to one location, scan and that's it.

Of course with 2.3 I'm not sure how much they'll boost the price per missions, but with 3 stacks max, it won't be anywhere near as lucrative.

Plus these stacking missions were what people were doing with shadow missions back in Robigo and Sothis/Ceos (which I was actually out in the darkness of space exploring for a good year and missed every thing)...

Both skimmers and surface scans depend on your rank. Combat for skimmers, and explorarion for scans.

Elite in exploration would give you 1.5M planetary scan missions - meaning about 25-30M per sortie.

Elite in combat would give you 4-5M skimmer massacre missions - meaning at least 50M per sortie.

Go and do it NOW.

I'll come.

Kudos for putting out a distress call rather than just whinging about it later.

This is how it's supposed to be done.

If we all stood up against the PKers, they'd CL and cry here LOL

It's a odd thing. I don't begrudge anyone doing it, I just don't really see the point.

If you had a button (in any game) that you could just click on and instantly get millions of whatever game currency and maxed out equipment of whatever variety, and be max level if that is a thing in the game, would you sit there pressing it? At what point would you ask why you were even logged on? As you would not be playing the game any more, you would be just clicking a button. If there was a option at the start called 'start with everything', would you press it?

I suppose the answer is that people want to rush to the top, jump to the end game. And that's cool if that is what you want. I just find it odd as for me, the fun is in the getting there. I love the start of game where you have nothing. I love every tiny victory and every step of progress. Why would I want to just press the 'mortal to godhood in 30 seconds or your money back' button?

Odd.

There have always been "players" who don't really want to play. This has been true since the days of the Game Shark and pokes to game code.
Call it ethically deficient.

Probably why I'm seeing a lot more high priced scan missions in Quince than Skimmer missions in Lyncis Sector MC-V B2-1. I'm only Competent in Combat, but 42% into Pioneer for Exploration. Didn't realize they were based off this. I was hoping to get Elite in Exploration, but decided to wait until 2.3 for the faster planetary scanners and such...

I can't decide whether I'm a decent guy or an imbecile for not heading to Quince and stacking the missions.

I've always seen it as playing the game as you want to play it and anyone telling anyone how to play the game their way be dammed.

¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨

Point of note: I have just over a bill in assets and 400mill ish in cash, never done any of the oh-noes he's using an exploit, oh ok I did used to stack CZ missions, from time to time if I was in the mood for a bit of pew pew and a war was going on in my BGS systems.

But like I say I play my game and I'll let others do the same.

So how did it go where the pirates caught run off or are we going to start seeing a gank fest of threads [where is it]

Anyone destroying anyone at Quince is performing a public service...it won't amount to anything, but Quince and systems like it, combined with an absurd mission system, are prime reasons why the game doesn't have a functional economy.

This is said while you are probably sitting on both a fully outfitted Conda, Corvette, AND Cutter with millions or even billions in rebuys.

The multiple data scan missions has really helped the OP. Just two weeks ago he finished his exams and stuff and went out in his Asp and got melted by a Neutron Star. After a cargo drop of metals to aid his recovery, the Commander (who is from Sacra Oculus) then came across Quince and in a matter of days made a couple hundred million enabling him to buy a big ship for deep exploration.

I'm ignoring the... opportunity as well. I don't feel either decent or idiotic for doing so. I just have different priorities.

As for the idea that these people are spoiling the game for themselves, well, they are playing the game the way they want to. There have been games I've picked up cheap, put to its lowest difficulty settings, and had a jolly good time burning through its content. I don't mind anything other people do as long as it doesn't impact on the way I play the game.

Hey peeps, there are 2 people going around the quince system killing everyone who passes, therefore i would like to request the help of some bounty hunter who could come and... sort these guys out! im sure they have a high bounty

one is called:< No naming and shaming >

There should be a function in game to do this. Distress call to either everyone or friends only. Its gives your current location and you choose your issue - lack of fuel, under attack etc.

Exploiting mission stacking doesn't help any user. They just miss out on everything the game has to offer.
Cash without experience is both unrewarding and ultimately useless. Their loss.

How about not giving a s..., letting them Play their game and you can still Play yours, at theirs don't affect yours in any way? People deliberately miss on some Thing to get what they want. And everyone is searching for something else in this game, which isn't called sandbox by mistake.
