Yeah the skipping of the galaxy map stuff is a nice addition. It's a shame they have to even put that in when a better way of presenting that might have been possible.

They seem to address a lot of the other concerns and whinges. Let see if they managed it come Thursday.

I am happy they are doing the eyes. I think that will change things a lot (I did a test with skyrim and made the eyes less shiny there and it made everyone look dead)
I am nearing 90% of the game , but I will do multiple runs of it and of course wait for DLC and will continue with the multiplayer.

Yeah id say I'm into the final third now. Settled planet kadara and just cleaning up side missions there. After this I'll put some time into the loyalty missions and nexus missions before the final push on with the main story. Have put 65 hours into it so far.

You can continue playing after the main story, so don't feel like you have to cram it all in. There is New Game+ too.

GG Bioware..
After pretty cool battle with one of The Architect bosses game decided that I cant win and made him literally invincible. Last leg cant be "killed" and its stuck at zero health bar and wont trigger the next fight stage. He is just sitting there spamming his minions. I had to restart the mission.
And its not the first time game broke on me, last night it decided to wipe all my points I put in to tech tree...
So dont be surprised if people moan about this game, its unacceptable in full AAA release in 2017.

at least it looks epic....

I also "love" the AI range of awareness. I play as a tech sniper and currently I can pretty much clear some locations with out "alerting" the npc`s. They will just stand at their post doing nothing while I head shot them one by one.

Im well and truly stuck into the mission system now and noticing a few more little bugs...2 missions I cannot complete no matter what I do both of which are on board the nexus so no huge loss. From a completionist point of view, its an ocd trigger of vexation and annoyance...Im the sorta player who maxes out half way through the campaign mode, on the ice planet now searching out memory triggers and doing some mining.

Also, a somewhat less common bug perhaps, but the otherwise good background souns go through times when they sound like its inside a huge empty hall with an echo effect. Its like listening to the game through someones mic, but Im playing alone with mic muted. I read a few others reported it but it appears to be a less common problem, and they certainly have enough problems to deal with.

Also miss hearing squish noises when I hit bugs with those satisfyingly huge tires...doesn't kill them at all and sometimes they may as well not be there at all fer all the effect it has hitting them.

The patch notes are interesting but we shall see how the weekend plays out before directing a torrent of salty abuse at them. Still haven't so much as touched the strike team options or multiplayer...don't even know where to start feel like a noob again...I love it Im addicted and I want more ^

The vast majority of the bugs are obvious and should have been caught by their QA department months ago. They either didn't dedicate the proper resources for QA, or rushed the job to get it out the door.

From past experience with BIOWARE, they'll fix what they absolutely need to do to reduce the negative press, but don't expect a comprehensive package or long term commitment to bug squishing. That doesn't make them any money.

I get the feeling with ME:A they will fix more than usual. but only because they have to.
I love bioware but patching is not something they are good at.

ME1 on PC still has lowres garrus face bug , can be fixed with tweaks however
ME2 still has some rare bugs with charecters just sinking and folding onto the ground.
ME3 still has heads spinning round , but no longer in the main conversations (and can be fixed with mods)

I hope , but do not expect this time to be different. but only time will tell.

But I love the game and I am about the have finished all side quests lol... I am getting that sad feeling I got at the end of ME1 and 2... I dont want it to end

Fair likeness :) it's all in the jawline.

I just did loyalty mission for Cora (with Asari arc) and the whole time I was asking myself - where did I saw this face??? I dont know if I`m the first to make this comparison but hell I will be posting this around haha

Just made it to the meridian, playing in hc is kicking my azz. I don't know where it goes from here. This is as good as ME 1 and 2 and I don't know where it goes yet. ME at its best. A great game in the wake of the ME Trilogy. Negative reviewers can just take a hike.

Im just at the point where Ive been offered the chance to go to meridian, so Im lagging behind a little. The story is at the point where its just starting to really open up now and get interesting, with all sorts of side quests opening up...fairly easy to get bogged down in side missions. Ive noticed that unlike previously, the side missions take me halfway across the galaxy and not just all over the station or dock I get it at...perhaps my memory is hazy, but I seem to remember the side quests not being quite as involved as what they are now.

Did hit the humility wall last night though...I call it the humility wall when yer a noob in a game who starts t think they hot stuff after buying a particular old favourite weapon and killing everything. Got to the kett base and starting to clear that out...went charging in all guns blazing...died quickly. Rinse and repeat several time before realizing that a frontal assault simply aint gonna happen because of the two turrets defending the approach and elevated to give them an excellent field of fire.

So much fer being unstoppable with the n7 crusader shotgun...not as useful when one cant get close enough to use it effectively. So much fer starting to feel like Rambo...humility wall.

Im actually quite happy as it was becoming too easy at the start...disabling the kett shield after fighting my into the base hwever...humility wall simply couldn't do it after a dozen attempts so either I build a sniper and pick them off from a mile away or get better armour and bigger guns...either way, its a complete reskilling of all points and a major change in direction and all before Im lvl15.

I love moments like this...playing since last Friday and still in the campaign and still loving it...negative review be damned, theres a swan under that ugly duckling appearance and a damned fine game once ye get past the inane facials and occasional ai bugs. Some wont ever get past those issues but the game is beginning to pick up the pace more with most the critics begrudgingly admitting that of all the complaints and tears about facial animations, the gameplay itself is actually very good.

So 8 outta 10...would have been a 9 but some the bugs are simply a result of bad QA and really shouldn't have shipped with a new release. Fer gameplay and that huge crafting array and that undeniable mass effect gameplay that doesn't actually start to really kick in until the first planet is cleared...it gets a solid 8. If the patch fixes some the really silly stuff, it might start creeping up towards 9. And I don't say that about many games that start as badly as this one has, but to ignore it entirely if yer a series fan is depriving oneself of what is actually a good game ^

I've held off playing for a few days waiting for the patch, so will be interesting to see what has changed.

Haha, I thought that it was just me! I hadn't planned to be a sniper, picked a rifle up to see how it would play and oh boy. Definitely many locations where you could rinse the entire enemy force without them firing a shot in return.
