To My Crewmember! ??.??.???? - 06.04.3303 (Killed on Duty)

Rosalie Mueller. A Woman that accompanied me for a very long time now, died Today.

She went through so much with me. Killing pirates, keeping the Law in Place, discovering new Planets for possible future Human claiming.
But Today, she became a Victim of a murderous Griefer.

The Commander whos Name im probably not allowed to say waited inside the Station in Yum Kumcabi with a unshielded Sidewinder.
He intentionally began to crash into my Ship until his Sidewinder exploded into pieces... all of a Sudden.. the Station called us Murderers.... and began to fire furiously without any Mercy.
We did so much for them, we helped them bringing uncountable numbers of Pirates to justice, we delivered Wares they needed for all the refuges. And this is how they Thank us!

Of course we tried to flee.... but outside the Station waited another Commander probably the Griefers Wingmate since he was marked as a Enemy now. Together with that Commander the Station succesfully destroyed my Ship and Murdered my Loyal Crewmember Rosalie. Rosalie, you may never be Forgotten and i hope that one of the Gods that seem to exist may punish this Commander for his Acts of dishonorable Behavior and Actions.

After my ship got Destroyed my emergency Capsule got gathered and i was save. After paying the Ensurance, i got a replacement for my old Ship.. but my Crewmember... noone could help her. It was to late.
I send a Prayer called "Report" to the Gods of the Galaxy... maybe they will hear my Call....

Until then... fly safe Commanders.

(Yes this is totaly a RP-Message and i really hope Frontier does something against this kind of Systemabuse. I mean: Why do i get punished when some other commander crashes into my ship intenionally?
He definetly had the higher speed and crashed INTO ME not otherwise, the System should be able to seperate this and punish the one with the higher speed at the moment of the Crash.)

Hey Vincent. Do you have pictures of the dearly departed?
Here are my two that i have got killed, and i did a third last night!

Navya, you always remember your first. You will be missed.

Geraldo, you did not last long. I am so so so sorry.

report under article 7.3.1 of the EULA.
If more did this then it might stop.

Exactly this. Honestly, is getting beyond a joke. I'm not going to say anything else about it because it fires me up and that's why the lowlife scumbags do it.

I am truly sorry for your loss Commander.

o7 Rosalie, may you find peace in the void.

You know what to do OP, come join the real players in Mobi. Leave that cesspit that is called open, you will find nothing but waste and dregs therein! See the light!!! :)

I can't be certain, but even if you are flying less than 100. Destroying another ship results in a bounty. The OP said the Sidey waited inside the station and began to crash until his ship was destroyed and they suddenly became wanted.

Something similar has happened to me a few months back at Shinrarta. I was taking off from the launchpad in my Corvette and there was an explosion and suddenly my ship was wanted and destroyed by the station. I believe a heavily damaged Sidey or eagle was waiting for my ship to take off and got nudged to death. All he has to do is sit 20m above the Corvette and wait. Remember, there is no access to the radar until clear of the pad so it's impossible to see if anything is waiting without using the external camera.

My Corvette still had its landing gear extended and was still lifting vertically so there was no way I was in violation of the speed limits.

I sent a report to FDEV and the promptly refunded my credits.

Two problems in one. The fact that NPCs don't get escape pods, and Frontier neglecting to enforce the EULA. When you think about it, to a prospective purchaser reviewing the EULA before buying, 7.3.1 could easily be misleading as to what kind of environment Frontier is endeavouring to provide; 7.3.2's disclaimer notwithstanding.

Sorry for your loss but speed limits are there for a reason...

Right, they're there to stop griefers destroying ships in no fire zones. Not to facilitate the suicide exploit.

Oh balderdash.

90% of Open CMDRS are fine. Don't paint us all with your brush. The only light I see is the one shining out your .....

Are you calling us fake players? o_O
How untactful! I bleed, sleep, eat, just like you. I can love. I can cry. I can laugh. I am real! I'm real, I tell you!

The solution is simple, stop playing in open, switch to solo or PG. The more people that do this, the less people the griefers have to grief, eventually the only people left to grief will be other griefers.

Oh my.. i didnt think anyone would reply to this. Thank you for the kind words.
I actually fly most of the time on the safe space called Mobius, this one time i wanted to give Open Space another Chance and instantly regrettet it.
You know.. if it at least would have been a real fight, a battle one on one.. but no.. it was abuse of the System authority wich killed us without any chance of fighting back.

I wasnt the one violating the speed restrictions! I always keep an eye out since im flying a very big ship. The Sidewinder crashed into me not otherwise!

Sadly no. all the Data i had from her got destroyed with my old ship. The New cutter they gave me for my ensurance feels realy empty now.

It doesnt matter who crashes into who, only speed mattets. If both speed, both are guilty. If you really didnt speed contact support via a ticket, they can check it.

I lost my Python to that exploit, which kinda sucked, as i knew they was doing it, but i somehkw crept above 100ms as they hit me.
I'm thinking two of them hit me, the first one hit me when i was just below the speed limit, which pushed me over to above the speed limit when the second one hit. But it didn't matter, i had plenty of cash.

Rather than get angry. I got even. :D

I kept my Python, undocked, and proceeded to bump them while they waited for victims, which meant they died, and had to respawn, then when they undocked, i did it again. And again. And again. Lol
If they escaped the dock, i just pretended to speed, when i wasn't.
Then they just harmlessly bounced off my shields. Then back to the dock i went to continue my quest.

After the 15th or so time they'd failed, they disappeared.
And i had fun griefing the griefers too.
(I didn't have anything better to do at the time :p)

Win win.

I recommend this course of action to all who are frustrated with this kind of griefing. Just stay below the speed limit. :p

Oh come on already, give us a break with this speed limit story.

As hard as it might be, to stay under speed limit during a ramming attack, 100 limit is the station rules. If OP was killed by the station, speeding is (most likely) why? Not geat that people are into this sort of attack but let the station deal with the attacker and hold your ground no? If you're shielded you should be able to make it out, all pips to sys?

As for the crew-mate, sorry to hear about the loss of valued personnel even friends. May she rest in pieces.

Oh come on already, give us a break with this speed limit story.

If you and another cmdr collide inside the NFZ and you are going less than 100, no mater what happens to him you haven't committed a crime. If the station aggros, it's a bug and should be reported. However, if you're CLOSE to the limit and it takes two or more hits for the clown to blow up, the first one(s) can push you over the speed limit so that the next one aggros the station.

So... At the NFZ boundary I roll my X52 into "landing mode" and the macro triggers... Gear deployed, lights on, pips are configured such that I have 4 to sys and few enough to engines that full throttle with gear deployed is around 85 (a little cushion so that using the lateral thrusters doesn't push me over 100 also means that getting bumped by an idiot doesn't push me over either) The boost button is disabled (legacy in my config from back when deploying the gear didn't do this for you) and thrusters are remapped for finer control....

And if a clown decides to play these collision games.. well....
