So the RP event to shape the narrative begins, with cmdr Salome laying out what the intended plan is, or maybe gets to the first jump....

Then is murdered promptly by a four man FDL team.

What happens next? I cant imagine that FDev would be happy with such an outcome...

She is immortal. ;)

The funny thing is that it probably absolutely doesn't matter if she gets killed or not. We will never get any information what "the truth" is.

Still waiting for the evidence that she is innocent of the murder attempt - they claimed that that CG some time ago would proof her innocence.

Wondering what the Empire CMDRs are doing. Shouldn't there a big hunt going on?

She will not be alone.

Maybe not, but I suspect that her support wont help against a hit and fade gank.

I have to confess, I have no idea who this salami person is, or even why I should.

Hopefully FD and those who organize this event will tell the unwashed masses why they should care.

<RP>
Salomé is a terrorist and convinced by the Empire for the attempted assassination of Senator Patreus.
She once was a Senator of the Empire herself and is responsible for various war crimes in the Prism system, including provoking a war between the Empire and the Federation.
She has a loyal follower group that is willing to murder and throw whole systems into chaos just to prove a point and to somehow magically proof that their idol isn't guilty.

She constantly claims that some truth is about to revealed, but never reveals anything and never shares any information. So don't expect any information or truth to come out of this event.

Best way to deal with her and her followers is to ignore or kill on sight.

Dont believe a word of it

rumour has it that both imperial and federal player groups are working together on this one.... its just the alliance and the imperial leadership that want her dead.

Me? I'm engineering my AspX to have a 45 ly jump range and getting outa dodge when this balloon goes up... and I'm thinking the consequences will not be pretty

remember Mr Brookes saying "dont get too comfortable in your home systems"

Bill

<<, renaming the AspX to "The brave Sir Robin"

What's this, more in game lore and story that practically all the player base have no clue about?

Sounds about right for this game.

Well, let me put on my <RP> hat... it's a relic, an old BDU ballcap, long since faded, and full of creases centuries old.

"Yep, dunno anything about this Salami bologna. And don't much care either. Empire, Federation, always one group fighting with another group and over what? Space? D'you have any idea how big space actually is? To fight over it has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Don't like the local politic? Pack up and pick a direction. Sooner or later you're bound to find somewhere where the politics are more to your liking. I know a really nice spot about 4000 light years out past the last outpost. Rather like the politics there, 'cuz there aren't any."

She has had at lest ten Galnets, so those that don't know her don't care about story anyway.

Over the time period of over two years.

If FD or any other organizers of that event want a lot of participants and more interest in the story, then maybe better advertisement for the event would be something to think about.

I fear that FD is heading for a real PR disaster if this event turns out to be game changing and affecting everybody and just a small inner circle really knew about it.

Thats the second time I've repped you, and I feel dirty for it ;)

There's an interesting post out on the Cannon website.

It shines a harsh light on the Salami / Children of Raaxla / Drew / Brookes / NDA / etc.

I'm out of my depth on that stuff, I hardly know who's who.
Maybe that author is off the mark, but it does seem like there's a case to answer.

Be aware guys, that Drew has said if Salome or any of the other characters are killed, they're dead and the story ends there. They're basically playing iron man mode. If we ever want to find a conclusion to this, the characters must stay alive!
