Monday Madness! Anaconda Anecdotes

Welcome CMDR's,

I trust you all had a good weekend? Well it's Monday again I'm sorry to say, back to the grind of life but fear not because that means it's time for Monday Madness! This week it's all about that huge ship that so many of you love, the Anaconda!

Personally I've never flown one of these ships so I won't be able to contribute to the thread but that shouldn't stop you from posting you favourite image/video/story/joke about this much loved ship. I want to see skins, ship kits and Anaconda's doing incredible things!

As always keep it clean and have fun!

EDIT: The picture is not to scale. It is there for FUN!

My A-rated explorer Anaconda loadout. I'm not big on max jump range more about having all the toys when I start getting lonely space emotional issues requiring real psychiatrists to deal with them!

How awesome would it be if Anaconda had the fighter bay under the cockpit and approach strip along her nose...

So if the cockpit was extended and the landing bay was open for business, and you shot out the struts, the Cockpit+Pilot would go floating away into oblivion? Priceless. :D

I have the anaconda two weeks now and I still wonder how to aim for the mailslot to not bump the sides. Everytime I get like soaked up and hit the top although I aimed low.

I managed to land on Achenar 3 without Hull damage but still fail at the Coriolis [haha]

The front of the Anaconda slopes down and the point of the prow is below the direction you're heading. Enable the DScanner or some other hardpoint to enable the reticule so you can aim its centre in the right direction.
I had problems initially before doing this. It is now easy (lots of practice).

Hmmm.....USS Ronald Reagan is a lot bigger than anaconda for sure, they are not even close in fact. As one of the latest Nimitz-class carrier it weights over 100,000 tons plus a 330m long deck. But our lovely anaconda weights less than 1000 tons and only 150m long.

I was wondering about this myself. Since the carrier in the image looks very much like a Nimitz class, the Anaconda should be less than half the length of the carrier. Of course, given the angle of view, it is difficult to be certain long the ship is compared to the ... erm ... ship, but the Anaconda definitely looks too big in the image.

I do like the Anaconda - been exploring in one for several months now. Only complaint really is the position of the cockpit - I would be ecstatic if I could choose to use the observation deck/second cockpit in the nose.

It's only a picture, just a bit of fun.

I enjoy any thread where an Anaconda pilot wants the game nerfed to make it easier for players in the larger ships.

"I was in a CZ and 3 asps hit me with railguns, and took my shields down one ring. FDEV, this is unfair and unimmersive. Please fix."

"I only make 750k per trading run on a one jump route. Its so hard to make money. FDEV please fix."

Fly as high as you can. The pilot is seated on top of the ship with the ship below. If you think you hit the top of the slot, then you are doing it right. And fly in a straight line without already aiming for the pad. You want to pass through the access corridor absolutely parallel to the rotation axis of the station.
And while we are at it, remember to rotate the anaconda with the station.

That's actually a bad payout for a one jump trade route in an Anaconda, just saying ;)

1.) Request landing
2.)Line up.
3.)Close your eyes.
4.)Full throttle and Boost!
opt.:5.) Shout: Leeeeeeeroy Jaaaaankins!

annaconda, the best ship in the game.. till you got a corvette, and never look back. cause everytime you do, you get flashbacks of that nasty turning speed.

I recently started flying my "trade o' conda." It only hauls 417t; however, it is just so easy to fly. Coming from a type 9 and I don't have to hold off on jumping because of heat issues. I can even outrun pirates. No need at all for guns, just run!I should have started in this thing. I got it at the same time as I switched to a HOTAS . . . just no comparison to the way I was flying.
