When is this going Live on the servers? I thought it was today April 10th hence why the missions were been wiped or has Frontier changed their minds?

so why on earth tell us do do missions on April 10th if the mission board hasn't been wiped? seems frontier has made a balls up again

Because if you started a long range mission now, then there'd be salt when it was wiped. So they wiped the long ones today... No more than that.
No, the point was to have your long range missions finished up by the tenth as 2.3 will be dropping SOMETIME this week.
They are trying to help you out and keep you from losing any long running missions. You can still take more missions but make sure they are of the "I'm going to finish these in this session" variety.
Or would you rather they just borked missions you had running for 2 weeks plus when they can deliver the update early.
well I would of thought it would of been today as whats the point of telling people to clear all missions by April 10th
I genuinely don't understand this comment. There has been a message on the main menu for several days. I must have read it 10+ times.
As usual, FD have done a great job of communicated with us. I wish more devs would follow their lead.
Sometimes you tell people to do things earlier than you really want them to do them. Because there will always be someone that missed the message, forgot, or got too far into a bottle of bourbon to remember. People stink at being responsive so to save them a little grief, Frontier is just putting the pressure on earlier.
While I think it is odd to have a week-long release window, it is what they have decided to do and have done now for a couple releases.

Well if you've been away the long-running missions won't have bothered you anyway, so why the fuss?
Probably just excited about the new release. Anticipation does interesting things to the human.

Usually a Tuesday, or a Thursday in time for the weekend.
