I find it staggering that they are thinking of changing the season expansions because some people whine and moan about spending £40 to get a years worth of updates.
..the same people who toss away £80 a week on candy crush and other freemium trash on their phone. ugh.. crazy.

They won't, Frontier just want to rebrand the future packages and updates into something more palatable they got themselves into a corner with the whole seasons thing. Lifetime passes will mean lifetime legally they have to under UK & EU advertising rules and their lawyers will be well aware of this.

Wasnt the LEP originally available before the mechanism regarding expansions was decided? admittedly it was also made available for a time after this.

Lifetime pass owners are not getting the shaft in any way shame or form, so please for the love of all that is holy, stop that.
The thing they are talking about is basically once season 2 is over it and season 1 get merged down into one 'pack' and then season 3 will be the DLC and consider that those that have bought horizon as DLC, are not getting shafted either, because guess, what, they've been able to play horizon while it was under development, anyone earning the new 'base' would be entering the game late compares to anyone else.
Yup, lifetime owners will of course, continue to get all sessions without paying anything.
