Are there really no long hair in CMDR customization? I really thought that there would be a long hair as in almost every game with this type of customization but I can find none. I really like having female character with a long hair and it seems to me too strange to have customization possibility without having a long hair. The closest style to it is pony tail style and even the pony tail and is really short.

If you're wearing a vac suit, you can't have long hair. It would get caught in your helmet seal and cause a malfunction on emergency deployment.
That and the graphics would clip through the helmet.

Well, I guess at least you can make visually attractive female characters, so I think Frontier studio hasn't been taken over by Social Justice Warriors just yet (looking at you, ME: Andromeda).
Either way, I'm still mad that there was basically no effort put into long'ish or long hair/medium hair styles - they could have visited a nearby college and asked students how best to style long hair for REMLOK helmets as a fun thing to do with some potential, but hell, I guess that would've meant leaving the office and their chairs, lol.

And re the long hair, I had hair down to my waist and managed fine with a motorbike helmet for 25 years. It's just lazy or placeholder or ineptness. Make your choice.

Female pilot's don't tend to have their long hair(if they have it) down when piloting. You know, so it doesn't flap around and get cought on important switches or trapped in an air lock or something.
I was sure there were "up" hair styles, like buns or.. something (Male human here, not very versed in lady hair). Maybe I misread/heard something about it.
Besides, there isn't/wont be hair physics, it isn't that type of game. Maybe a good few expacs down the line when we can walk, IDK.
But that's a bike helmet. it doesn't need to keep a pressurised seal against the vacuum of space. Or the possibility of it. I've also had long(ish) hair with a bike lid. It isn't a problem I agree. But how many fighter pilots have their hair down while flying?

IIRC the thread in the Beta section alluded too poor programming skills & inability of a male driven art department to conceive of female haircuts that are as short as a bob, that a) isn't a bob and b) isn't a pony tail.
I guess the fella's there think that if a woman has short hair it's instantly a male haircut and so all but 2 are male haircuts.
