We could also talk about RGB color number selection but this would be too much 2010 I guess.

Isn't this game Elite Dangerous? All I see here is a system implemented with only a basic selection of variety involved aka the barebones. Whats the issue here? Sounds like good ol' Elite [big grin]

Weird isn't it.

Usually Frontier say the issue is the UI.

But look. A massive empty box with the least amount of colours stuffed up top!

Green, yelllow?

*sharp intake of breath*

It'll cost ya, yellow pixels don't come cheap you know!

The difference is for some moeny in MWO you don't get soem bad one color recoloring of your mehc, you actually get camos you can recolorise in various parts givign you a high possible combination of visuals, while ELite is just some presets. and decals in MWO have still more color options than Elite has gotten for ships, which is 0.

I would pay for proper stuff, but what elite delivered isn't proper. It's so basic its below minimal expectations I had, and my expectations weren't even high.

Bingo. For money. Which was my point.

I furious that a spaceship game only lets me choose from four different colors of sticker to wear on my shoulder! Furious I tell you!

hmm, but I don't have to pay a season pass for MWO to begin with.

yeah I totally forgot, that massive 20hours of development time to "program" a new color code. that seriously needs to have a buisness case first for every single color and it's popularity to be justified in possible sales.

Wonder if the frontier store will burst because they will have like 50 different color packs with each 6 colors.

Technically black and white aren't colours, so it is only 2.

And who is gonna use blue on their black suit?

So really only 1 colour to choose, depending on your suit colour, but if only 1 option it means there's zero choice!

ANd although I'm joking we all know there's some truth to that. You equip a suit and usually there's only one colour you can reasonably use.

Very odd.

Do the tattoos also only have 4 colour options, they are paid for aren't they?

Black and white aren't even colours so the choices are red and blue. FD I could forgive if there was even the classic ORANGE option.

Isn't white all the colors? I'm gonna argue white is all the colors, so it counts. :D

In seriousness though, "Ship UI Orange" would have been nice.

yep, unless you use the white suite you can forget the other colors as they are barely visible.

Don't even get me started on the hair colors either. Mine is mostly grey and I tried to do the same in-game. You can't do any halfway salt&pepper "greying" mix, a "medium grey" is completely silver and no grey shade of facial hair comes even close to matching the grey hair colors. If your character wears a full beard there is this horribly visible seam between your hair and your sideburns that you can't get rid of. It's there with all the other colors too but if you're anywhere between "medium grey" and "white" it's particularly obvious. The output of a set of color sliders to adjust the preset colors is three bytes, and a RGB multiply is hardly taxing math, even it you try to be clever and add a 4th control for "tint intensity".
