Patch Notes Update 2.3 The Commanders - Changelog

By Multicrew, I mean you could hire a co-pilot. I was under the impression this release was also about multicrew, with friends and whatnot. Is that not the case?

Sounds like you are confusing two features:

In the Crew Lounge you can hire an NPC crew member who can either fly your fighter or fly your mothership whilst you fly your fighter (NPCs only, introduced in 2.2)

Multi-crew - you can remotely join another player's ship or they can join yours (human players only, introduced in 2.3)

I cant load missions, not the contact list from powerplay, after that i get the message "can't connect to the server.". The Client returned to mainmenue automaticly.

Is anyone else having a problem with the map? The menu that appears for selecting route, system data etc has gone walkabout on mine.

Yes, bug report (probably one of many) over here ...

Thanks so much! This is a massive update!

That said, err, I didn't have many issues with planet or sun textures before this patch, but now I do. The suns look horrible.... and if I sit next to them long enough, they pop into less-horrible textures. Ive tried toggling GPU 'work' and planetary texture options but get same result on any setting, low or high. That.... and I immediately lost my 1st anaconda because of some really weird stuff during an interdiction. Not going to complain about that now because Im not 100% sure what happened, but will try again and post again if need be.

So many people complaining about mult-crew, however I have had some great experiences in beta. Also last night myself and my wingmates teamed up and was great. I appreciate it's not for everyone, however I have found it great fun. Also quite impressed with the Dolphin. Looking forward to engineering it a little tonight. Also the weapons sound much better.

I cant log into online and singlegame. I get the message about "can't connect to the adjucationserver". I ship is in the space with an open mission now.

Maybe already posted.
Looks like there is a small mistake in patch notes

- Lori Jameson:
Sensor to grade 5, and DSS to grade 5 - this is true

Does not have grade 5 scanners only grade 3

I guess Tiana Fortune has grade 5 scanners...probably will check today...

Just had a first 3-hour session with a friend in 2.3. No disconnects, hiccups or anything. Only one bug, after he left I had to relog to get his status chanegd from 'in crew'.

I sat down with 2 updates Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen so kicked them both off and sat back to read what the updates were about. SC just some minor fixes then I read yours and stopped my download when I got to this little gem (Massacre conflict and massacre skimmer missions limited to 3 per player at a time. Rewards increased slightly to compensate) I don't know why I would be surprised you said something would be done about mission stacking and WHAM!!! I couldn't find anything about fixing black screens in CZ's so I guess that got over looked. Well it only effects one part of the game. Only one part of the game "hhmm" If I was a betting man I would wager that those pesky black screens will vanish without a trace. Anyway this is as far as I go with this game you have added grind to CZ's. People enjoyed them, was that the reason for the change cause I can't see why they needed to be NERFED. It is war or civil war now you have put a number on how many we can destroy in one engagement!!! Good luck...

You can kill as many enemies (or any other NPCs) as you like you just won't get paid for any extras over your 3 missions. Instead you will have to take a short break to get another list of victims to massacre.

Am really liking the flightsuits, that's just really fun.

Looking forward to the nameplate (showing as reg. no. currently) issue being solved on the Boundary set.

Game is getting a bit heavy on the dual core laptop by now (!) but still, just about ... it's still playable.

Huh? It's working for this guy ...

As I understand it, boundary set displays ship ID and other sets display ship name (I must say I really do think it's taking the P155 to have to buy both a nameplate set AND the boundary set if you want to display both ship name and ID).

Especially when that was not explained in the OP of this thread: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/338765-Ship-naming-and-Name-Plates-–-how-it-will-work
