2.3 thoughts in VR

They've changed the Galaxy Map, it now skews all over the place and makes it a pain to use properly. Worked just fine in 2.2 so why they've messed with it and made it blatantly worse is anyones guess, I like FD but sometimes I have to question their thought process at times.

Strange. I had no issues with the galaxy map in VR. How do you have yours set up?

Could it be, it somehow got tied up with the free cam movement speed?

Haven't gotten to play much few days, but post update I didn't a problem in gal map, but I haven't bothered with the new camera either.

i wonder if the problem with the galmap is his custom controlls got monged and he is actually controlling it differently now?

i had this issue with my menu controls and also some of my ship controls ... as always by SRV controlls got binned as well.

Unless I'm doing it wrong (and that's a real possibility) it would be great if you could save 1 male and 1 female holo-me in case you want to switch between the 2. Changing the character overwrites the previous one.

Not really a VR thing and may have been mentioned elsewhere.

Has anyone tried the asp explorer? I thought they were adding a extra chair for multi-crew. I tried today, and my asp interior looks exactly the same!!

They added multi-crew functionality to the second chair, as they did with the other ships. There wasnt added anything extra.

There is no chair behind me either. All I see is an opening to go to lower deck, which was there before. The chair at the lower deck was also always there. I guess they did not add anything physically, they just added the functionality, which is kind of mis-leading when reading their change log.
I was really hoping for a side-by side co-pilot

ASP X has a different cockpit layout! One chair is above the other in a separate room!

I have noticed that, when looking down the list in the COMMs panel, the system is more sensitive to the position of the headset (so I can no longer move my head to look down the list). The change I spotted in the Asp Explorer is the ladder on the starboard side linking the upper and lower cockpit. I an not sure about the instrument panel on the opposite side (if it was there before 2.3 or not).

Yes I know. And it was always there. The problem was that in the 2.3 changelog is stated a chair was ADDED to the asp.

IIRC, before 2.3, the lower chair was only visible in the debug camera. If you managed to clip your head through the floor of your Asp's cockpit, the lower level was empty. The Gunner's chair wasn't there. Likewise, before 2.3, there was no ladder going down inside the cockpit.

Both the ladder, and the lower level chair, were added to the cockpit in 2.3. And the chair is actually visible from the top of the ladder. If you have roomscale VR, and enough room to maneuver, you can actually stand at the top of the ladder and look down at the gunner's station.

Love it (besides a few bugs). Only when my Conda is in M.C. it handles fine due to the 1 or 2 extra pips. Then when alone it handles like a dead fish!
I can survive in a Hi-CZ for hours in M.C. but when alone as soon as 2 gang up on me due to the speed limititations I can't hardly keep them infront! I have now lost 3 Condas costing me about 40 million in just 1 hour for a Kill 16 Ships CZ Massacre Mission for a reward of 720,000Cr. I ABANDONED it after only 9/16 kills!

Adding M.C. reduced the 3 Missions to just 1. WEIRD EH! I thought we were expected to make this useful like!

Put your pips to engines, you are gimping any ship by not keeping at least three pips to engines.
You don't need pips in sys until you take heavy fire.

I use the Vive and I find docking at Starports is very smooth. In 2.2 I would experience some random frame drops when entering the port due to the detailed graphics. Now that is not an issue,

Unrelated to VR..Im not sure if this is a bug or deliberate nerf so I thought it wise to report it. Based on my last month of Entrepreneur level trading income, it seems hauling mission rewards has been nerfed. As an ally of all factions at my home base (Morris Enterprise) I was getting a few delivery jobs a day for 1,000,000 plus credits. Those level of profits have disappeared and have been replaced with similar jobs for around 200,000-300,000. Sure glad I amassed enough to get an Asp X, FDL and Python before the nerf bat hit. ;)
