Community Event / Creation All books on the same format / same style ?

Hello,

What is could be great is that all Elite Book be on the same format (A4/A5...) and on the same style of color.

I want to have all of them and I would like to have them on my library. What I would like is that all book are in the same size and the "same" cover, for example in black...

I know it's not easy but that is an idea...

I saw a project on Kickstarter. A box with some 5 or 6 book stories on a black box. The design was fine !

I can't remerber the project name....

Yeah, definitely a good idea. May prove tricky if we have different printers etc. Printing is a fair way off, of course, but this is something to keep in mind when the time comes.

Some writers are getting professional cover design while others will be doing it by themselves - there's not much of a chance that they will look similar (and if they did, the pro designer might sue).

In any case, most of the books are coming out only as e-books rather than printed ones. In such a case, printed versions would look relatively similar only if everyone used the same company's print-on-demand service.

what it would need is FD to do the 'boxed set' cover design and for the POD service to give you the option of original cover or collection cover

it would be nice to have all 10 books make a complete cobra 3 when displayed as a set

Yes this would be awesome.

Maybe Frontier could help broker a deal.

I have a set of Star Trek & Star trek TNG DVD's and the spines all match up and display a big stretched image.

This is an oh-so-tempting dream.

I think I can speak for all authors in saying they would each like to see a hard copy edition of their work. However as things stand, there will be no co-ordinated printing or publishing between all the titles, and indeed may be no printing at all in some cases. Also, atm the formats will not match, each being quite arbitrary.

It would be brilliant if FD could somehow step in and broker some kind of co-ordinated effort to produce a box-set of nicely uniform printed editions, but I think it at best unlikely.

Would be cool, I agree, to have a Cobra lining a bookshelf!

Fantastic idea. How many of us would end up with every book just so we could see the Cobra in all it's glory?

I too, think it's a good idea. However, as the previous people said, it will largely depend on which print on demand services we use, and how will the book cover designer work. It would be tricky.

But I guess, we could easily do an Ebook set, if other writers are interested too.
