THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY (Part 4)

I've arrived in Eta Cassiopeiae. There's a station here called "Morgue's Mortuary", which goes back to the death idea for the "last word" line. There's also a medium security base on Trojan's moon. It's data points may contain clues like the one about encountering the aliens. Will case it out after I investigate the rest of the system. I don't really want to be flying around hostile space with a bounty on me.

You have never been able to go there though ?

No. You only got access if you took on the Agent's Quest missions. You had to go find Mic Turner's ship, the Turner's Quest at Pleione 4b. After a bit of a set too with INRA/Feds you could get the flight recorder. If you took that back to the Alliance they looked at it and found the Turner had found a Thargoid shuttle at Polaris. You could then take on the mission to go there. Of course INRA/Fed goons had a had occupied the system.

I never did these mission so this is all from wikis and work of mouth.

Of course Michael Brooks said that timeline never existed in ED but I might go have a poke around Pleione 4b anyway.

There where four 'Quest' ships produced. Turner's Quest, Argent's Quest and two others. I do wonder if these are, in the new world the Manticore class that some Fighter Pilots talk about. I would happily help the Turner's out bu flying one for Alliance interests, after my years of service. In fact, I am out near the Turner bases in the California Nebula right now, to see if they are in range of a friendly takeover of the Asteroid base out there.

Thargoid tech in that tail anybody?

From what I've seen, local is for the entire system, with only minor changes for BGS articles depending on which faction controls your current station.

Yeah local for entire system.

Usually Fed propaganda and Imp propaganda and a bit of balance from Alliance and every now and then some local gossip.

I've no idea, which is why I was asking. So that would mean Formidine(Raxxla) is related to "Thargoids".

Formadine isn't Raxxla. Also the Old lady said " and you thought the Thargoids were trouble" which suggests something other than Thargoids

Could be some how related to Thargoids but I'm thinking more if a corporate cover up that certain high powered officials had a part in and profited or gained power.

Wreaken, Sirius, Patreus are on my list

Here's what I could find.
The river to the underworld Styx
Gaia’s daughter all unfurled Creusa
Fourth minor bear in vain
By viper’s sting was slain
Also known as Nemesis Rhamnousia/ Rhamnusia
The doom of Chimera Bellerophon with the help of Pegasus,
She is tasked with soothing pain
Suckling Odysseus from afar (Sirene?)
Mother of the mother of Hemera
Leader of the Titans Kronos/Cronus
He transformed into a hawk Daedalion
A daughter of Daedalion’s Chione
The piercer was how he was known
Mother of Ulysses Anticlea
Ruler of the winds Aeolus
God of night, primordial flees (Erebus/Nyx?)
Zeus’ namesake now lies in Sol Jupiter
Achilles’ favoured horse (one of three: Pedasos, Xanthus or Balios)
Women of vengeance infernal Erinyes/Furies
The vain queen rides not forth
A final word, a course to follow, a poor miser’s sum
Anagram should give us a planet and system, then we should sweep course 0.

Gentleguys:
Phi number is cero, but also relates that symbol (is like a cero with a slash crossing it) to represent voids: i.e in architecture the void present in a spiral stairway is represented in plan/maps with that symbol, porosity in rocks (voids) is represented with that symbol too...

Deinonychus2012 and evaldo10, thankyou. I went to one of the systems I'm investigating thanks to todays clue and was curious if I needed to search every spaceport for interesting news. Sadly, there wasn't any in the first place I docked.

Yeah I remember, although not in as much detail.

Thanks, Bill Turner is prob a relation, it seems a few of the engineers have heritage from prior Elite games.

Something that just occurred to me is that there's a company called "Achilles" in ED. I've seen ads for them before, and another on approach to Mortuary. Looks like a robotics company. Could the Achilles in the riddle be a reference to the company?

Found a wiki article on them: http://elite-dangerous.wikia.com/wiki/Achilles_Corporation

Edit: So Achilles won a legal case against Trojan Developments and bought most of their technicians and engineers.

It's worth checking as you never know.

A lot of local is fdev generated but it's also player submitted. Stuff can be hidden there.

Of course in the future the WWW is Limited to Sol. Everywhere else relies on Intergalactic telegram.

Another corporate under suspision.

They have been associated with AI which is illegal.

His bio is quite specific about the matter. Also Bill is looking a bit undead since 2.3.

I saw a post a few pages ago talking about Drew saying that we better need to get a SOL Permit. For what exactly? Exploring? The only thing worth exploring there is our own moon! Alien lore has always played a big roll on our OWN moon. Maybe it's time we went go looking there for clues.

Geeze it hasn't even been 24 hours and he's jumpin up and down screaming at the screen "I can't believe they don't get it!"

Put the keyboard down, turn off the screen, look see family, house, Kent's pretty this time of year. How bout a nice walk,, down to the pub and don't turn it back of for at least three days? I know that's forever,,,,but how bout this no more hints of clues at least 'til wed. Calm the frac down or you'll have an embolism before the 29th.

13 days, how many hours, minutes and seconds?
I bet you know, so calm down, don't watch the countdown clock.
Breath in, breath out, deep breath in, let it out in a soothing sigh

Yeah that was a while back he said we needed that.

I was half expecting the asteroid Salome to appear in game

AFAIK he said this quite some time ago, definately before i started playing. So i got it just in case. It's really funny there. I visited Charon and could not fly a few Km without a new POI. So if you are looking for planet stuff, nice system. It also has a permit-locked body. Of course the one i wanted to visit to begin with...
