THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY (Part 4)

Geeze it hasn't even been 24 hours and he's jumpin up and down screaming at the screen "I can't believe they don't get it!"

Put the keyboard down, turn off the screen, look see family, house, Kent's pretty this time of year. How bout a nice walk,, down to the pub and don't turn it back of for at least three days? I know that's forever,,,,but how bout this no more hints of clues at least 'til wed. Calm the frac down or you'll have an embolism before the 29th.

13 days, how many hours, minutes and seconds?
I bet you know, so calm down, don't watch the countdown clock.
Breath in, breath out, deep breath in, let it out in a soothing sigh
(repeat as required)

Yes it's Easter Sunday I've been to the pub and drank wine and now I'm on the train to London to see our Queen.

Im making a pure effort on these clues as well, inbetween wine.

This is the day of jesus and he wants us to drink wine.

Ps - I had a tuna sandwich so bread fish and wine. God's smiling on me

hehe... I searched for "Zephyrum" in friend requests, and there is indeed a commander called Zephyrum. Added him or her to friends, not sure if he or she is online at all though. (and it may not mean anything!)

"If you would understand it all, seek Fibonacci’s Zephyrum" - perhaps it is to seek a(this) Frontier(maybe) commander?

edit: Quite honestly, what are the chances some random player would come up with that name?

How 'bout some whisky to finish it off?

Well, i want to at least see the space-dragon when it tries to swallow a sun. Not sleep during this. ;)

Dies that answer your question? :D

Poor question, had so little time to live...

Hey could you please post the discord-link for people wanting to help when all this happens? I think you posted it here or in the cannon-thread some time ago. :)

Zephyrum and also Fibonacci are both addable to friends!

EDIT: This may mean trying to find a player called Fibonacci in order to track down Zephyrum???

Is it okay to stay with beer? It'll help me start seeing patterns, while aimlessly jumping through the rift. Btw, has the base in the Heart nebula outfitting? The one in Soul doesn't.

Yeah beer was like cola back then though.

Don't think either have outfitting, I've not been but someone mentioned it.

Zephyrum aside from meaning zero or nothing, had other definitions in antiquity. During Roman times, Zephyrum: Cipher, a secret or an occult thing.

Found an interesting reference which stated that the word Cipher can be traced back to the Sanskrit word Sunya, meaning empty. It evolved through numerous languages eventually becoming Sifr or Sefr.

The sound of this word reminded the Romans of the west wind zephyrus, the zephyr, and so the Romans adapted Sifr and it became Zephyrum.

And here my fiddling around brought me to an introduction in poetry. :)

If either of these players have nothing to do with this, they're going to get mightily confused with all the friend requests. :D

Found this when I combined a search of west wind and Fibonacci sequence

Last thoughts before sleep -

I'm currently suspecting the video clue (Phaethon's reach, follow path of souls, DB-IB Fi (O) T-1319 SUM (10, 7, 5, 3) to make a beginning is to make an end) points to Achenar and the galnet clue points to Sol. So I'm wondering if there is a more specific location in the system like a body or station that the clues pinpoint? Anyways, I could be completely wrong about Achenar and/or Sol but in my opinion they are currently the two strongest candidates for each riddle. Gonna sleep on it. Try not to solve it all before I wake and have my morning coffee!

The Fibonacci Zephyrum, or the "zero", could mean Sol. As it is the "0,0,0" of our galaxy, and is the "starting point" for which the Fibonacci sequence Braben wrote into the game builds the galaxy around it. At least that's how he said the original 1980's Elite was made. A code based on the Fibonacci sequence.

This is tough, the mythology rambles around with many names and intepretations. I still think it's a simple intepretation. The summary lines are a poor misers sum, well a poor misor has nothing, so zero, which backs up fibbys zephy clue, as fibby invented the number zero from the Greek God of the West wind zephyrus and all the clues are Greek gods, so the course to follow is zephyrus, ummm so not sure where this goes. The ramble of Greek gods in the rest of the clues, I dont know, some are in sol, presumably the path of souls clues are seperate?
Hmmm clear as mud

The problem here is that Drew actually is educated in latin and greek mythology. (Heard him say that in an interview i think, or read it) If you base puzzles on something you know very well, that is not common knowledge, there is a problem. While Drew might be jumping in front of his PC right now "Why don't you guys get the hint?", he misses the point that most even miss the approach to the solving itself. We just are not educated in this stuff. So all there is are random google results. No understanding.

Ok, some here sure know this stuff, but most don't. Thats my point.
