Alien interdiction

Hello fellow Commanders. I've been away for quite some time, went into a hypersleep after I failed to record my alien encounter. (Game DVR glitched on me the first time I got pulled out and then life happened.) But I was wondering if it is still possible to be plucked from Witch Space at the system Aries Dark Region XU-O B6-3? I don't know if these aliens have left this sector now or not, and would still like to capture one of these elusive ships for my personal logs. Thanks in advance Commanders

Yup, they are still plucking people out of witchspace around the Pleiades nebula. It happened to me a couple of days back and the game glitched and I was stuck in an endless loop of hyperdictions!

You do eventually get one, I got one after hours and hours of searching for one, it was only when I started to leave with the artifacts that I actually came across one then. I got mine from coming out of the pleadies nebula to a HIP system.

Keep up the search. Sorry for the unfortunate event though happening... sucks when something just glitches on you like that.

Jumped around Pleiades sector like a Kangaroo on speed when the first Hyperdiction was reported and I gave up after a few hours.
Weeks later I was on my way to Maia for some dirty drives and, bam, they got me.
Somehow they know if you are looking for them.

As interesting as this looks from the Youtube videos, is there any point whatsoever to being interdicted by Thargoids? To me it looks like the players who uploaded videos have no control during the encounter, making this a cutscene-like experience that you can fully experience on youtube without all the hassle of actually grinding around in a dull area waiting for the RNG to ring your number.

It's just cool man, nothing can be done or is being done to you, let's just enjoy that untill they start slaughtering us.

I haven't had the encounter yet, but it does seem like a cutscene when they are Hyperdicting you. Im looking forward to it, as scary as it may seem, I really want to experience that. xD lol

I had mine not too long ago before 2.3 came out. Stupid part was after the interdiction out of Hyper jump I was disconnected and never got to see the stupid g Thargoids plant ship. Been trying back in the Dark region here and there trying to get it to happen again so I can see it for once and never lucked out since...

About the only thing you can get from it are if you bring a wake scanner with you. Once you regain control and target the ship you will get three "Unknown Ship Data" and if you scan the high wake you will get three "Unknown Wake Scan" data. I haven't heard about anything else you get from it. Don't know what they are used for yet, only time (and FDev) will tell.

I still reckon we're each being 'marked' on encounter. To what end? Find out later. But don't forget to pack a spare pair of brown trousers.

Btw tip for anyone still having no luck trying to find them, the trick is to try and cram as many jumps in as you can over time. Set your route plotter to 'economical' mode, and keep zig-zagging across the region. Then keep your fingers crossed.

Don't forget your wake scanner. And don't then get mixed up between wake scanner and discovery scanner controls, so you have to hunt down a SECOND one
