So QoS gets sacrificed. . . for what?

Nice hyperbole (I think its the term), hyper jump autopilot would not trade for you, would not dogfight for you and would not play the game for you. I`m sure it could be done in a not abusable way.

Well I'm not so sure, the other side of the trading equation is trivial to macro.

(yes it is the term!)

But, exploiting aside (which I didn't mention), in the end it's just adding things so people don't have to engage with the game.

Is this game is some kind weird of Zen practice? I dont really understand.

Discussion goes nowhere.

It's part and parcel of the game isn't it, the simulation side of things if you want.

On one hand you have some people who want all these bits removing, on the other hand you have people wanting all these simulation aspects.

In this case Frontier want to retain these aspects, they feel that travelling from A to B yourself is fundamental to the game experience. Ultimately it's why the galaxy is a big place.

Please, people who want to bot are botting already. I dont see how not adding autopilot aiding this.
Or maybe FD are the ones who selling the bots?

Not having autopilot in 3033 or smthn is immertion breaking, its not the simulation side.
Your attention can easily be diverted to planning your near future game strategy (with help of maybe someday full of content GalNet).

Well I didn't bring up botting, neither have Frontier, some other poster did.

If some people are botting, then making it easy to bot does not seem to make much sense.

To keep the playing field as level as possible. Every controller out there can do two fire buttons, not every controller could do three, four or more.

LOL so you're saying because of consoles but it's because console controllers can only do two buttons. That's solid logic right there.

So, yes then. I'm glad you agree.

Look, if they do it any other way then it becomes Pay To Win for people that can afford more elaborate setups. As it stands now, all controllers (where weapons selection is concerned) are equal.

I don't understand this sentence. Please clarify.

I think he was being sarcastic, but oddly made my point for me. *smug mode engaged*

From the bot's perspective, things will be made easier if disconnets on jumps will be fixed.
What I'm asking for is a simple, optional, immersive QoL feature. Jumping from system to system takes at least 1/3 of a game session on average. Im not even talking about SC autopilot.
Time spent while travelling could be diverted to planning (mapping stars you want to visit on next exploration trip for example). My point is fairly simple.

It's like you don't follow the conversation at all. Look at my first post before you comment any further.

And as for the pay to win...It's already pay to win. People who don't have access to engineers have no hope of winning with fully engineered ships.

I always love when a hyperjump auto pilot gets asked for using the old line of "So i can do other stuff, like plot journeys, look for POI's or read galnet" .. Without ever thinking about the fact that you cannot use your consoles or do any of that during jumps (Glorified loading screen and all of that :) ) .. Well I find it funny.

Yep I hope they give you autopilot. While you aren't paying attention I (or a NPC) can swoop in and murder you. After you are destroyed you can come on the forums and complain even though it was your fault. There are enough complacent no trigger control or instrument scanning commanders as there is.
