Elite Galaxy Online - Ship Log Reader

Hey Commanders,

I've updated Elite Galaxy Online with a new way of recording your discoveries using the player journal logs.

After doing a bit of exploration, you can now upload your journal log and it will automatically detect any scans you have completed and record them at the site.

It will also let you know if any of them have broken a record. There's over 2,000 different records now being tracked at the site so you might get lucky.

You can check it out at http://www.elitegalaxyonline.com

Wohoo! \o/
That's great to hear. Screen shots were nice, but, there was a lot of tinkering with getting the numbers right. :D
Are the default log details good enough or do we have to enable verbose logging?

Yeah it's so much easier than using the OCR scanner :). No need to enable verbose logging, just upload the Journal file thats created in <user>/saved games/frontier developments/elite dangerous/ and the ship log reader will do the rest.

It's only compatible with the log files created from 2.3 onwards though.

Ha! Thanks for the new log reader! Again.
After uploading my logs, I found that I bumped into the largest HMC planet on record last week. \o/
I thought it was big but, I didn't reflect much on its radius as its density was relatively low.

Thats awesome, pretty interesting find there as it's also got the record for the hmc with the most massive rocky rings at the minute too.

Im really happy with the impact the new Ship log reader is having on the site, its more than doubled the number of discoveries since it went live! It's really spurred me on for update 2.0 which is shaping up nicely now.

This sounds interesting, I think I'll upload my journal logs and see if I have any records I don't know about. Probably not, but I won't know until I try it.

I like the interface to upload the logs, very slick and easy to use.

Heh, looks like I have three galactic records afterall! Oldest Red Giant, orange giant with the most eccentric orbit, and slowest spinning orange giant. Aldeberan is the system in the bubble where the mega ship Fisher's Rest is in, that's been visited many times by many commanders so I didn't really "discover" that, I guess I'm just the first person to upload it, lol:
