God damn it, you've GOT to be kidding me! This is still NOT fixed?

No, it's not. I use 3440x1440 and it's now gone back to computing positions as if the maps are in a 16:9 window centred on the 21:9 display.God damn it, you've GOT to be kidding me! This is still NOT fixed?
Thanks for the reply Brett. Damn... My fps went from 80-90 to 50-60 with my HMD (Vive) in space stations when 2.3 went live. If this patch doesn't fix it, I don't know what to do... Holding my breath...
Low star texture still happens![]()
So - its obviously not the bug that was being addressed in this fix.

My thoughts exactly. Although I found the salt joke funny, I couldn't understand the attitude behind it. Makes me wonder if FD is aware of their failures. I have seen some apparent resentment towards the community filtering from time to time, and is hard to tell if this recent bit is coming from the same place. Not like I am offended or anything, I think is the most natural thing to make fun of things, and I am sure they might have a lot of fun joking about us at the office, with the incorrectness of it making it even more enjoyable; but we are talking about a community manager publicly calling the community salty. For me this is hard to understand, and it keeps lowering my perception of FD as an incompetent company at nearly every possible aspect of a video game developer.
However! the majority around here seems to have taken it lightly and had no issue with it.

Speaking as someone who owns the game on Xbox One. I agree with Ian 100%!
Your misguided little crusade is becoming embarrassing to watch at this point. The point update for the XB1 will be released when it is ready! All I can deduce from your non-stop whining over this is that you would have preferred that the PC version of the patch was delayed until it could be provided to YOU at the same time.
THAT is ridiculous and about as entitled as it gets!

Pot kettle and black spring to mind when all you've done is cry over the anaconda cockpit bug which is annoying but not stopping you playing the game .
There is a big difference between complaining about a bug that was reported on literally DAY ONE of the 2.3 Beta nearly 8 weeks ago and filling the PC patch thread with complaints about there not being an Xbox One update on the same day.
The soft lock issue is obviously something that is taking longer to resolve than the remainder of the fixes that .01 contained for PC. Would you have preferred that FD submitted TWO updates for the Xbox One? One without the soft lock fix and a second one later that contained it? How many extra days would that add to your wait for MS approval?
I must say I am really getting fed up with the tone deaf attitude of many around here these days. It doesn't matter whether the Conda cockpit lighting issues are game breaking or not. The original bug report was one of the first half dozen posted within an hour of the 2.3 Beta test beginning. Yet it remains broken going on 8 WEEKS later.
Just because some people don't care, don't own, or don't use this ship has nothing to do with the point I am making. The fact this issue remains unaddressed has ticked off a very large number of players. Most of them have shelved the game over it, so don't expect to be seeing many willing to argue with the clueless retorts from the resident apologists over our negative reaction to FD's non-action.
There is also going to be a sharp reduction in the number of players willing to Beta test 2.4 whenever that happens. I'm not talking about the early access hangers on that contribute nothing to the bug reporting process. I am talking about all the players who watched every single bug they discovered and reported on go unaddressed and right into the 2.3 public release.
Those are the players who will not be returning for an encore when 2.4 Beta arrives. If you haven't figured it out by now, none of us see any point in it.

I expect Fdev will make some snarky comment around the office about this and pay no further attention to it. For what its worth, I think your assessment is completely on task, but it won't change anything.
I wouldn't say we're making fun of the community. More or less saying... yes, we see your feedback, we see your point of views, we'll keep what you all have said on the forums and social in mind when it comes to development of Elite.![]()
