I'm slightly confused. I thought the all platforms would be on equal versions of the game since horizons was released? If that's no longer the case, should all patches now be considered for PC only unless specified otherwise? Also wondering if this will cause issues on server side of things like BGS?
i could be wrong but i think you can blame MS (and soon sony) for this due to their lengthy certification of a patch. Before the xbox release (normally i am not one for "blaming" consoles for things, however in this instance i am fairly sure, the xbox is at least in part responsible for this)..... but before the xbox release when a major bug was found, FD were pretty hot of the mark in getting fixes.
Now however patch fixes are far fewer with some fairly chunky issues taking months to get fixed and one reason i would imagine is the certification.
What we have now i reckon is a rare oasis in the desert, possibly because a certain large in game event is happening this weekend, so we are getting patch frequencies like the old days...... sadly FD will be unable to patch this fast for the xbox, but it is nice to not be held back by the certification process for once.
after this weekend i imagine the normal service will resume of longer gaps between patches........... I do however stand to be corrected if anyone is certain the xbox has nothing to do with it tho the timing seems strange if not.. and if it isnt the case that certification slows things down on the PC, then maybe we should be expecting faster fixes like this more often?
