There are Galnet Posts that announce the Server Downtime every week - and they have been posted every week for quite some time.

FD can't be blamed if you can't be bothered to read the post ON THE LAUNCH SCREEN.

My 2 cents...

When starting the game, there's a message on the main menu thats says "Servers are currently down for weekly maintenance. We hope to be back by 07:40 UTC." It might be an idea to change this message to say 09:00 UTC (or whatever) in future.

Ohh and here I sit and wait and wonder... so we still have to wait longer?

Thanks for heads up Hessfire. However, for me is information about scheduled downtime more important vis-a-vis adds and galactic news, and I think that I'm not only one who overlooked it.
