THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY (Part 4)

I really wish I hadn't watched that. I could have lived with merely knowing she'd been killed and let the story go from there but the video makes it impossible to divorce the sense that there was a story to be told from the fact that it was just a bit of Saturday afternoon gaming by people who gave two s for the story (say my name biatch, no thanks).

Oh well.

Well, CoR deserved this. This is exactly the sort of thing SDC/Harry Potter are known for, and CoR knew this yet aligned themselves with them anyway. I'm not happy about it, but whatever. Idiots, really.

So, this consisted of following some guy from Point A to Point B for me, during the course of which nothing much at all happened. I'm out of here, can't be bothered to do the logon/off jump in jump out dance to try and get back into the instance again to see if anything is actually happening. Night all.

I was waiting for that to happen the moment I heard SDC was on Salome's side. Surprised it took so long really.

They also convinced lots of other commanders to leave their weapons at the station!

I suspect they were hoping for a fight - practically none happened - just lots of jumping around - so boom for the lulz.
But, as I say reputations should matter - if folk didn't have this commander on the radar they should now (btw I have no personal axe with the guy, he just did what he's know for - just actions should engender consequences).

Even though this event turned into a clustertruck in one sense or another, it's still the most excitement I've had in game for quite some time. I hope F Dev takes notice of all the players' involvement and works to create an infrastructure for future events.

You're assuming the primary goal of the mission was to keep Salomé alive.

She certainly isn't showing up on the friend list in-game anymore. Given the lack of huge outcry and wailing and gnashing of teeth on CoR discord I suspect it was a decoy.

I was in the system, but did not see her. She was just gone from the local list.

Managed to send her a HONK message before she went though. :)

nice RetCon
Hasn't it been very clear from the very beginning of the event's organisation that the 'win' condition was killing all four of them before they reached their destinations?

Edit: I haven't been following this before... yesterday... but that was what I understood from reading up. And the chatter seems to be that others made it.
