You are right, in the context of what you quoted it makes more sense.
Still, I content the notion that the current PEGI 7 rating should be in any way a guidance for current or future development of features or content. And to repeat, I find it curious that it even received that rating considering all the killing and drugs that happen in the game.
probably because those that rated it never played enough of the game to even find this content.
I don't think those that rate the game actually play it. I think you probably declare it and if you have been even lenient with the truth you'll get heavily fined.
I know the film boards will watch movies in their entirety, but you can't expect a board of games raters to find every Easter egg in a game.
Okay, just found out in multicrew that my ship name which I thought it was absolutely safe from filters are filtered too... vagabond sipahi... Sheeesh.

I'd also love to be able to use the word poop in my ship name. Don't feel like that's too offensive for a game intended for adults.

If this game was genuinely aimed at adults, both the swear filters and the PEGI 7 rating simply wouldnt exist. If however, the game was aimed at a much more immature and younger audience or developed by religious zealots, we would have draconian swear filters that dont make sense and white knights claiming we need to use our imagination to make up fer lack of actual content. The more adult themes would be out of game so as not to frighten and confuse the children.

This reminds me of the Duel Links mobile game. I've had the word "Japanese" blocked because "Jap" is considered by some to be a racial slur. (Had a colonel for a commander hear it and he wasn't bothered at all, and he's Japanese) and even the word "speed" because apparently we're all still living in the 90s. 99% of people do not give two funks about half the words that get censored. There shouldn't even be one to begin with. What's someone going to go? "Haha, he named it the 'c' word" or someone will just roll their eyes. If there absolutely has to be a filter, at least make it an option! And fix the filter so it doesn't strip whitespace because WE NEED THEM ASTERISKS TO PROTECT OUR YOUNG MINDS

Easily done. Use a real name instead of some 13 year old name. Problem solved.
