I had it yesterday. It looked quite cool, but I expect it's an artefact.
EDIT: The voice saying "Whoa, is anyone seeing that" is not me. I'll have to check with that person and see if they saw the same distortion.
Ah, come on, you're not surprised though are you? Loads of moaning on the forums was the one outcome of this that could be predicted with 100% accuracy. Happens all the time!

I'm currently on my way back from Zurara & going to take a look around the FRift bases for the experience and credits (exploration Elite is getting into sight, so I'll then be able to get into Shinrarta & maybe start looking for Raxxla), until then I'll go looking for clues by myself, and maybe back to the Canonn thread as there still seems to be some sciencing there.

In the original Dark Wheel by Robert Holdstock Elyssia Fields was from Teorge.
Brood mother? Greek? Incubating clusters? That meant that Elyssia Fields was from Teorge, the so-called 'clone-world'. Alex struggled to remember what he'd been taught about Teorge . . . an inhabited world. . . settled by two colony ships that had proceeded to clone a select few of the crew and colonists, killing the others. For centuries Teorge had been a world apart, cut off from the normal flow of trade and commerce, and banned from sending representatives into space.
HanZen's theory (apologies if wrong) is that there's a clone line from Elyssia Fields -> Rebecca Weston -> Kahina Loren.
There are hints to that effect in Rebecca's statement and yesterday's Teorge recording. I'd add the specific use of a 'True daughter of the Empire' to that. The need to be so insistent about her being a true daughter always bothered me.

I just took a bit of a tour around Teorge, and didn't see anything unusual. Went out to the last planet, checked out a few of the others, landed on one of the outposts...nothing. So I cannot confirm this.
Had those for a while now, in various areas. Probably a bug.

You don't change the rules after the fact.
It comes In all shapes and sizes and as it is a bug can be Triggered by interdictions not on your radar. It was happening a lot in systems out in the black where interdictions were happening last night, I've also seen it around engineer bases, all kinds of places.
