Tinfoil party hour - Isn't "Salome" just an alter-ego/new identity for Senator Kahina?
Salome is confirmed dead, but what about Kahina?

Clearly there should have been no event in the first place.
Let's get a few things straight.1. Salami is dead. 2. SDC did it (as a team) through weeks of planning and infiltration, out-skilling and out-thinking our opponents every step of the way (as usual).3. We were already an official part of the lore, and now play an even greater role, much to your chagrin.4. This video and others like it proclaiming "conspiracy" are clickbaity exploitation, capitalizing on player's emotions, devoid of actual content or proof.5. There is nothing you can do to change any of this. We win.
And the screeching continues.
lolRepped!I love that Idea! If the majority of the playerbase is dissapointed about the way the event went and the story ended, let's use our fantasy and numbers to just alter the story.I mean, a story is a story and we can choose to tell it the way we want.
Also, this seems to annoy her killer, enough reason to go with the flow. The Rebellion lives! So, from now on I will tell anyone that Kahina Loren is alive. Salomé died, since the mission is over. But Kahina lives. Faking your death is a really good way to lose attention.Boy this is fun.

Isn't this whole deal with alter egos dying a bit like when Bruce Wayne killed Batman, because he was too old for the job, anyway?

Well the bottom line is whatever Drew publishes is considered the official story and canon of ED because he was commisioned by FD to write the story. Anything else is just going to be fan fiction and not a part of canon.not his choice if we take over the story in game... he has no priority over other writer when it comes to game play RP, just because hes an official ED author.
Can you please write out what smilies you're using? I have them disabled on my client. TIA-Sun "All we do is win" DaeIt is funny to see you so indoctrinated into your own ways of what you do within the game, that you actually believe you can PVP the forums in real lifein reality, I know maybe 1 or 2 people in SDC who have enough character to not act like children when grown ups are talking

Sure, people can roleplay and write as much fan fiction as they want but it will never be part of the official ED story. FD is in charge of chronicling ED's official story. Period.

Of course luck played a significant role. We are lucky to have such skilled, patient, and brilliant pilots and strategists, as well as the dedication to win at a children's video game against thousands of opponents. The decision to let the rest of the conspirators pass through unmolested was a conscious decision on our part--trying to frame this as a victory for the PAC side is a little bit of "alternative news." So much baseless conjecture and cognitive dissonance surrounding this event, and it's all for no reason. If it wasn't going to be us killing Salami, then who? Drew issued us a public challenge, so we accepted and achieved our goal. There is nothing here to argue.- - - Updated - - -Well, to be honest, if when this week began you had told me that before the rooster crows thrice, I would be getting called a carebear for (effectively in some ways) defending SDCs honour and position, I would have probably said [wacko]Come to think of it, why am I defending SDC?It's such a confusing life.Sundae's posts are so much fun, but if you look at both sides (with some data still to come out), luck played a significant role in their victory. Nothing necessarily wrong with that - after all, many things are decided partly by luck - the Spanish Armada was defeated partly by weather.I'm also dubious about their claim that they deliberately "played nice" during the last months in order to make this work, since I've continued to see ongoing reports of their in game activities regularly and nothing seemed to have changed. Not to mention, the Salomé objective was not for all 4 of them to get through - 75% getting through was a victory.
"We" is the community. We all win--a huge, fun, high participation community event that was fundamentally adversarial and had an actual impact on the story/universe. We all win. Thank you!Win what exactly? How does this gain anybody anything? So, the non PvP-oriented player base loses the plot line they wanted the game to explore and be part of.So, the fans of the associated novel(s) are denied the prospect of Kahina's story continuing, as they wanted.Neither of which enhance the game, its lore or interest in it.Already the overwhelming feedback that I've seen has been that players have been actively discouraged from participating in future events if this kind, apart from the PvPers of course.Unless you are a nihilist who wants to damage the whole enterprise, that doesn't really equate to anyone's "win" does it?The only "winner" so far seems to be the odious misogyny that accompanied the conclusion of this incident - yes I am referring to the "b***h" comment on his live stream video. While this kind of attitude is embraced and lauded, it really goes to show that the game is not in good place at the moment. Not good at all.
