Actually that's not correct. Drew's first ED book was written under license and is official. His second book upcoming will actually be published by FD - so again, official.

Before ED came out, he wrote a number of other fan fiction ED type books which I think are available for free (but not official and not lore).

Of course luck played a significant role. We are lucky to have such skilled, patient, and brilliant pilots and strategists, as well as the dedication to win at a children's video game against thousands of opponents. The conscious decision to let the rest of the conspirators pass through unmolested was a conscious decision on our part--trying to frame this as a victory for the PAC side is a little bit of "alternative news." So much baseless conjecture and cognitive dissonance surrounding this event, and it's all for no reason. If it wasn't going to be us killing Salami, then who? Drew issued us a public challenge, so we accepted and achieved our goal. There is nothing here to argue.

By the way, since Salome exists in the game itself, wouldn't it mean that it's free-for-all to write about her in a book?

No matter the answer, this is not about burning bridges to begin with, ill release the final video about this in a few days time, and elaborate on what I mean by that

i'm wondering that too.. drew put her the game, is she now part of official lore? who IP is she now, Drew's, Fdevs, both? is she protected content?

Would be interesting if fan stories that included her (prior and after the event) are censored, if they didn't follow 'official' lore...

It's a mess, i don't know what the rules are, but its fun watching all this unfold. (great event MassiveD)

That's interesting. Was Drew not officially commissioned by FD to write the canonised books he's written?

That's kinda strange otherwise. It'd be like Lucas Licensing/Disney treating Timothy Zahn's new Thrawn book as 'Official Fan Fiction' rather than official canon. It just wouldn't be done that way from what I know of how licensing works.

You might want to check your sources again - Reclamation and Premonition are official - 100%.

I think it's really funny that SDC is getting unhinged at the idea that their "kill" really can be so easy written off as a non event.... And can be done if many ways..... Escape pod, clone, or something else entirely.
Their whole thunder will be snuffed out about the Salome kill if this comes to pass.... And that's reason enough to investigate actually doing so.

I already entertained the thought that Salome in the pod might indeed be just a clone, however I would be thrilled to live in Metal Gear'esk galaxy, in which 2 "Big Bossess" co-exist at the same time, one - the real deal, second - a decoy which defied the odds and lived to become it's own person and it's own legend.

Why would a person, from a group that has been accused of being fed information by Drew, would be the only person I've seen outside the "Salome is a clone conspiracy, the thread" write's "Salome" with quotes?...

Now I wonder if he forgot to add "spoiler alert"
