Yeah it has. I actually have an idea for an entry, but I've never put a video together before, lol! I'm sure I couldn't cobble together anything even remotely comparing to what's been submitted so far.

Before making my Turjan's Travels series, I hadn't put a video together before either! "Mojo Moon" was the first video I did any editing or voice acting in. And here I am 30 episodes later. You never know what you're really capable of until you try :)

Even if you end up making something you personally think may be a bit naff, that doesn't mean the judges will - we are our own worst critics after all, and often an outside eye sees things differently. There's still a few days left, so why not give it a go? [up]

Well, I uploaded this as unlisted a fortnight ago when I emailed CommunityFDev, but in lieu of that confirmation email we'd all like, I reckon I'll post the link here too, so I can say "There! There it is look! See, I submitted it and everything!" should it subsequently transpire that the email has slipped through a digital crack somewhere :)

(oh btw - for those already familiar with my "Turjan's Travels" videos, I'll just warn you in advance that this is not the usual whimsical style Turjan video...)

Well, don't worry about self promotion. Like I said before, I think yours has the best editing and "screenplay" in the competition. Not only you deserve to be in, but you're one of the top contenders, without a doubt ! (IMO)

Here's my little contribution to this event. :)

They say that when traveling near a black hole, time can be observed to move faster further away. This video was inspired by the recent movie, Interstellar, with similar themes in distorted passing of time.

After a little time lapse "screenshotography" experiment with the new camera suite in Elite: Dangerous, a song I was working on recently seemed to mix in well for a timely cinema project.

Yea, Turjan, your video is quite good. But in truth there are a lot of great entries here. It will be difficult to choose "a" winner. But we, the E D community, will all be winners in these marvelous entries.

You convinced me. I spent all of last night messing with the Windows Game Bar in Win10 learning to recording stuff, and I wrote down a rough script with a shot list of what I want to record, and I found a piece of royalty free music that I think could work with the theme I want, AND I downloaded a free video editor called Lightwave, so yeah, I’m going to try and throw something together before the 9th. If I don’t make the deadline then at least I’ll have learned a few things while trying, if I do make it then it will be just an amateurish entry for the competition!
