What's your ping/packet loss/country

And cause a laggy game. Shame on you.
No moral to care for someone else want to play properly.

As said twice in this thread, using a VPN improves some of our speeds. And the people I play with don't notice. You're ignoring what's been said, and then assuming the rest. My naitive ping to THIS game is 400+, that's worse than dial up, even though I play fine to any other game with my cable connection.

If FD have a problem with this, they need to add more servers. Shouldn't you be blaming them? Isn't that your shtick?

It's the packet loss I'm worried about. All of us in the UK seem to have roughly 10%-ish. 1 in 10 packets is going astray?

My packet loss was 99.9% yesterday so I am not sure this number is meaning anything. I was playing in open, out exploring and didn't try multicrew (as it rarely works for me) but did not get any server issues / disconnects.

Support seem to think my multicrew issue is not very common.

I can ping the AWS servers with <30ms and zero packet loss for hours.

Where are these options? My options menu has graphics / controls & audio :(

Network menu, under options. It is only visable from the main menu, not in game.

Okay, so, I don't know how much interest people have in this but I've edited the OP to show the averages. If anyone reading can take a moment to check their network settings and drop the t̶h̶r̶e̶e̶ four main pieces of info into this thread, that would be super

Country:
Ping:
Packet Loss:
MTU:

Speed and latency isn't the same thing.
It's anyway disrespectul to other players. You intentionially play with such a high ping and spoil other players fun.
If there are no servers located yoy have to relocate (servers not coming to you).
Still, you should be ashamed of yourself for doing this to the community.

Country: UK

@mp4x don't feed it. It will turn to stone at sunrise.

Ping: 64.1ms
Packet Loss: 8.8% (highly unusual, this should read 0 or very close to it... never had Packet Loss issues on my side in any online Game)
MTU: 1388 (OS settting : 1472)
Country: Germany

IMHO alot of the things we're seeing isn't our Machines - it's the Game's Networking having severe issues and just recording the average results during P2P Instanced events.
Get instanced with borderline network islands, and you'll likely see surprisingly bad figures on your Network screen.
Essentially, it seems those Stats merely show the Game Client P2P Networking measuring its own success - or lack thereof.

I agree, that's why I didn't get too caught up in what people are using. With enough people I think this will paint a picture of what's up for the average user

Thanks for the figures :)

Wow, got some strange numbers...
(exited to Main Menu mid-session):
Ping: 601.2 ms
Packet Loss: 0.0 %

Then I exited the game & pinged bbc.co.uk: 43 ms

Started game again, now the numbers are more as expected:
MTU: 1388
Ping: 133.2 ms
Packet Loss: 6.2 %
Country: Finland

Hello here you go...
UK

MTU...........1388
Ping time....62.1
Packet loss..8.3% .... [blah]
....
Port forwarded...5100
Hope that helps with your enquiry Mp4x.

I too shall ignore...an unpleasant...

The irony.

Btw. it would be nice if ED showed the overall stats instead those of the current session.

Agreed, but hopefully enough CMRD help out with some numbers to get an idea.

The Scots, for example, already seem to display a trend with packet loss. Yeeah I know it's only a few people :)
