At last, a thread where everyone is happy :)

I shall have it mounted and stuffed...

Pleased another Miggy is back, I've a nice little collection of 500s 500+s 600 & 1200 which all work.

This is my 1200.

I think I've a few KS floppy disks if one is needed. I'll have to check though.

Thank you, most kind, but happily it is not needed. I found mine. It works :)

Nice pic too.

Please make a video of that moment.

Your wish is my command! (one time only. wish may not be exchanged for any other wish or otherwise traded. wish has no monetary value.)

Apologies for the rather poor quality of the video production, I'm afraid I don't have good equipment or the right setup for doing this kind of thing. And in my excitement it was all a bit rushed anyway. But it matters not - in this case the content is king, and she's there in all her glory: one freshly restored A500 working just as science intended.

Can never be unhappy when there is an actual Amiga involved!!!

Damn right!

Now, if y'all will excuse me, I'm off for a lie down, it's been a long day and I'm feeling rather wonderfully emotional right now!

I was smiling through the entire video. This is amazing. She is so hot! Good work. ( That floppy drive... beautiful sounds! )

I can't rep you enough.

It's a later A500 with a green power LED, probably has a fatter Agnus. Mod that baby up with chip ram and a IDE adapter with a CF card :)

This thread has inspired me to go upstairs to the computer room, turn on my tower mounted A500 (don't ask) and play some Rainbow Island.

Yep, frustrating as usual :D

Hehe. I need long summer nights with open window and friends, lots of Coca Cola and the best Amiga games of all times... Another world, Hybris, Turrican II, Total Chaos, Civilization, Elite etc etc etc.... mm, that smell of sunburned grass in the damp summer nights... Amiga floppy noise giving promise of adventure. And youth, when every night was a week.

Stunt car racer and lemmings - grab a second mouse and a friend and you're golden. Mulitplayer hilarity.

Two A500's, whatever TV's you could fangle, maybe convince a Rupert to lend you a real monitor, two copies of Armour-Geddon, a null-modem cable with still-warm solder, and maybe a few cans of Shandy Bass if you were lucky :D

Bliss :)

Yes, that is correct, we have the Fatter Agnus here. I'm undecided whether to actually mod her or not, as I think there is also value in keeping her completely stock, all original parts. There's no rush to decide yet though as there's still plenty to do - it doesn't show in the photos and video but the case is very yellow so needs much bleaching. Also the keyboard is a yucky mess so that will need stripping down for a clean and a bleaching of the keys.

For today though, she's perfect :)
