Scrapyards, and Debris fields

Here's a odd idea, fairly simple idea,

Persistent Scrapyards, and Debris fields.
A bit like the various USSs, but on a larger scale.

Scrapyards
Scrapyards would actually be centered around a small outpost, which is surrounded by a large debris field, which you need to fly through to dock (Mostly for a change of scenery). These would be permanent fixtures.
These scrapyards could then offer a unique service that will allow you to breakdown modified modules in to some of the materials required to make it. But obviously you lose the module and some materials, but you do gain some lower level ones aswell.
You can also fly around the vast debris field and look for free floating materials and cargo, but all cargo is illegal Salvage here.

If we ever got a Salvage Career, such as being able to "mine" wrecks for "things", you could also do that here, but the station owner would not be happy, and send ships to stop you.

Huge Debris Fields
Debris fields would be almost identical to scrapyards, but they're only semi persistent, and have no station, but they're 100s of km across, and loaded with materials, cargo, things to scan, and pirates trying to claim things.
They'll show up randomly after a war has ended, as semi-persistent USSs.
Inside is a vast field of debris, which unlike the scrapyards, isn't owned, and is fully legal to "mine", should we ever get a Salvage Career.

There's plenty of other ideas for Salvage Careers, so I won't get in to that.

Thoughts?

Hey.....are you stealing my ideas? :p

Probably.

At this point, I have no idea if an idea I have is new, old, already posted, or someone elses. :p

I just post em as I think of em. :D

Feel free to link your idea here, it's probably better thought out than mine. Plus I like reading them. :)

Nah, its cool, I was just teasing....great minds think alike & all that ;). I mentioned scrap & debris fields in the discussion about getting your hands on much, much older ships than are currently in the game ;).
