Hey guys and girls - are any of you currently using a PS4 compatible keyboard - if so what one(s)?

I'm having an issue with mine, bu may be a settings thing, i will need some time to dig into it, but in the meantime I was wondering if any of you are using a keyboard..in case i need a replacement.

Yep, just a simple Logitech USB keyboard from a PC. I also have a 9ft USB extension cable so I can get some distance when I need it.

ah the eternal debate of keyboard and mouse/controller/HOTAS. to be honest i would love a hotas but will probably have to settle for controller and keyboard

I am using the YOK chat pad that connects to the controller. Got it for $20.. it actually is pretty awesome and convienit being right there.

Hmm - i wonder if that will be compatible with ED? Guess there's no reason not to be right? I mean we are only using key interfaces for text and chat not controlling...but it is a wonder...

Yes, it will only be good for text and chat but it is good for the Galaxy map but much better then nothing.

I would just use the ps4 app and use your phone/tablet as the second screen keyboard.

The xbox one is fine and opens up the keyboard when you select the comms panel.

Plus, you can have a prepared 'paste' to hand, such as 'o7 cmdr, fancy winging up?', or 'die die die DIE!' (never used that one tho, and it doesnt work on Germans either) :)

Besides, i don't know how this is going to be on PS4, but on xbox, if you use a app for text input (works really well though) but you get an annoying text window popup where you need to type in.

In Elite Dangerous, if you use a Keyboard, you can directly type into the comms window. Just like on PC. To be able to see where you going is critical if you are flying in a asteroid field.. lol..

CMDR Torn-anus you say?

Anyhooo....I noted when fiddling with my pS4 and keyboard (yay it works!!) there is also an interface for a mouse?
