I'm still nervous about heading out without an additional fuel tank (which will drop my range to 55ly), but many here have assured me that there's plenty of scoopable stars out there, and that only four jumps on a tank isn't a challenge these days.

Stock up on toothpaste, and other essential toiletries. Tinned and dried fruits will keep you alive should the replicator break down.

Best of luck. I have to say though...the Anaconda...I so wanted to love it, but between scooping every 3 or 4 stars, the turning ability of a locked door and the startling amount of damage suffered for no reason whatsoever I just couldn't.

That is true. I'd rather do it in a 50ly DBX. Less of a chore to fly around, it's cosier and you'll see more.

I tried it in an Asp Explorer last year, but only got about 7,000ly out before I hit range issues. I agree the Anaconda is pretty bad for this, but it's the only ship with the needed range.
