Sol permit

I'm afraid by then my whole country, the Netherlands, will be gone under water. I'll need a Krait to visit it. (the krait=a submersible spaceship in the original Elite)

the only submersible spaceship in elite was the moray starboat, the krait was basically a ship most pilots consider a pile of junk

"What a piece of junk!"
"She'll make point five past light speed kid. She may not look like much but she's got it where it counts. I made a lot of special modifications myself."

Although I've played Federation exclusively in all my saves, I never bothered going to Sol. Maybe, if we get atmospheric planetary landings I might, but I doubt we'll see an accurate rendering of Earth (wouldn't it be fun to land your ship outside your house :) ).

I have been to Sol, and orbited Earth. You can easily recognise the various land masses (even if they have changed slightly in 1,200 years).

i only want to do 2 things in sol, 1) land on the Moon and 2) land on titan and see a Saturn rise

Don't get your hopes up on a quick visit... Sol is only accessable with a permit, and it takes a little while to earn the permit!

BUT you can viist Voyager, which is int he correct position for 3303!
