McMaster did not refute the clams being made about Trump's disclosure of classified information to Lavrov and Kislyak. He denied events not alleged in the Washington Post story that started all this. No one is arguing that our intelligence agencies were hurt or that military operation was compromised. McMaster's statement was a non-denial denial. He did not refute the allegation that Trump disclosed code-word classified information given to the US by Israel to the Russians in a fit of braggadocio.

I do think that incompetence explains many of Trump's mistakes. Though I believe the firing of Comey is an exception; his goal there was to inhibit the investigation.

I actually liked Weiner before the last two cases were revealed. Before the sexting with a 15-year-old and sending suggestive texts with his goddamn child laying next to him, his scandals weren't all that bad. Sure, he was texting people that weren't his wife, but what do we know about their marriage? Most of the outrage game from his name and the (ahem) hard photographic evidence. Who under 30 hasn't sent these kinds of photos to people?

The problem is if your marriage screwed up this much (and you don't quit) thats also tells a few things about you so as to have one marriage after another. How reliable and stable you are if things going around you like this? You don't have a wife or child, that's your own business. here can be many reason of this. But things like this?

This is getting a bit off topic, but I agree that people should generally divorce if their marriage isn't working. But what if they have a young child and want to stick it out until the kid is older? A messy divorce might be worse than the sexting that Wiener was doing and keep the marriage floating a little longer. Of course, this is all hypothetical. It seems that Huma Abedin was genuinely hurt by Wiener's actions.

And full disclosure, I don't have any kids and I definitely don't have a wife.

I don't doubt for one second that Trump is a bad person would have no hesitation in breaking the law or behaving unethically. I just think that some of the conspiracy talk (in the media, not in this forum) around Trump is a little far-fetched. I doubt not his corruption but his capability. The ability to cultivate agents and then to have deep connections with Russia to seek their help to fix an election, or to fire Comey to shut down an investigation because he fears the outcome (I doubt he can think more than a few days ahead, or that he thinks the powers that be will come for him). I find the idea that he blabbed secrets to the Russians merely to show off and he fired Comey because he was got angry about something without even considering the consequences to be quite plausable. Indeed the word from Washington insiders was that the administration was "shocked" when the media reacted with hostility to Comeys firing.

The words "Dunning-Kruger" are tossed around on forums a lot these days. When someone says they'd rather play Doom with a gamepad and not a keyboard and mouse or when someone says that they'd rather see more content over enhanced graphics someone will throw DK in their faces. It's the new Godwin law. But Trump, I think, is Dunning-Kruger personified. He has a monstrous level of confidence coupled with an insane level of ineptitude.

The UK has 60 million and can't find anyone better than May or Corbyn to run for the prime ministers job. Something is seriously rotten with the political systems of these two countries.

I believe that is correct, so technically speaking trump has done nothing illegal.

However, here is a thought experiment for trump.loyalists.

If a president can unclassify anything they want, with no consultation or prior approval from others and with no requirement to explain that move.

In theory Obama could have made the central argument about Hillary Clinton's private email server (that she broke the law and harmed national.security by mishandling classified information) vanish in a second by simply declaring any information that was exposed as retrospectively unclassified. Perfectly legal as the president can unclassify something anything they like.

Would the Trump.loyalists be happy with that? I'm going to say not.

Do you meant as a 38 because i have a smartphone used to listen music, and sometimes play with it i'm stupid? The way i see, it's an useful device, to find your way around keep yourself occupied and informed, when you have to wait to the train or bus. Oh? I don't talk with others? Well... I don't really like empty chit chatting at all, with strangers. I'd rather open a book or listen music.

I think we're talking past each other. Yes, Wiener did horrible things. Yes, people shouldn't cheat. And divorce, especially with a young child, can be ugly. People should be very careful before having a kid with someone.
