It is now commercial and rather good. Not just a gimmick of any other type. I remember it was on Tommorow's World in the 80's and said it would help designing skyscrapers and help train Fire-Fighters even then. It did probably help Special Forces also in raids.

But the wearer still looks silly. and of course the main incumbant version could not have been free from data collection

It is very cheaky of Oculus to constantly state "your system is not compatible with VR and may experience poor quality". Really? I wonder how a Vive reacts to my XEON QUADs.
