Dear Fdevs : What ARE you working on right now?

Citation need to support that its not dwindling and you must be trolling if you don't think the crymmunity isn't angry.

I wish I was a Whiteknight, it must be so easy to just accept this drivel of a game.

FDev's profits seem healthy and you don't get that if the player base is getting smaller.

So...over to you to prove otherwise.

No red light district in your area?

Update: no seriously... why do you want to have FPS in Elite, because I don't understand?

It's not all about running around with a gun shooting stuff. I prefer to call it First Person Perspective play, which is technically what we have at the moment, but for some reason out bottom is welded to the chair and we can't move. There is a lot you can do with FPP gameplay on legs. There are already a lot of RPGs that are first person, and don't rely on shooting everything. I play the Elder scrolls first person style, and manage to do a lot of playing without fighting all the time.

I don't need to prove a thing :)

I am sure every one who bought ED is still playing it /s

I am sure that Multicrew is a tour de force and loved by the masses /s

I am sure people are enjoying the rich content being delivered in game /s /s /s /s /s /s /s

Arena/CQC is still super popular /s

I would hope they are working on a plan to save a dwindling and angry player base but I expect it some shiny lies to trick the PlayStation crowd into joining.

Interesting thread over on reddit, that as always was ignored by FDEV

Citation needed if you're going to accuse someone of lying. Can you quote a single lie that FD have ever printed?

If not, would you be willing to withdraw that accusation?

Only a few care about FPS functionality, i guess. Gameplay in stations, bars, in ships and outside the ship in space, like EVA repairs, more interesting mining and exploration options like checking out asteroids, taking soil samples and extended ground base exploration, walking through the dead generation ships and such things do. Running around with a gun can be done in so many other games.

Agreed, the very *last* thing I want space legs for is to shoot people. I'm much more interested in the simulation aspects. This is supposed to be at least partially a space sim and being constantly welded to your chair is not good for immersion.

Because it was always stated as part of the design. the intention has been there for a long while and was part of KS pledging.

2.4 is a secret revealed, I guess FDEV are keeping it secret until it's live.

I wish they'd say something, small hints on season 3 (or whatever it will be) would be something.

I'm fine with this. There are things I don't agree with the way they have been done, but on the whole I'd much rather trust FD's judgement than design by the forum committee.

I agree with that, to a point.

People have given long, well thought out arguments, solutions and improvements on several issues that has plagued every release since the game was available.

- CQC lack of integration within the main game
- Powerplay poor design and how it could be improved and better integrated into the main universe instead of being a tacked on RISK game
- Engineering RNG and component hunting
- Crime and Punishment & improved criminal gameplay

All of the above have been filling the forums for years and the ONLY reponse we have been given so far is the karma system which in no way touches actual crime & punishment but rather a faction membership code of conduct.

So while we indeed should not control what they do they could at least answer our concerns of gameplay we actually would like to become BETTER instead of keeping a sub-par status quo.

This, but I'd also say it's not exactly FPS, as in first person *shooter* what we expect, but EVAs, as in extra vehicular activities (actually even in vehicular, if you count ship boarding, but that will never happen), so it might be FP or TP, it could involve shooting or not, just don't think what's expected is battlefield or COD in space.

Same, by no means I expect pew pew cod style (bleh) but new gameplay including salvaging/exploring/EVA/ship repairs and so on. If done properly SL can add to Elite a ton of fun.

I should imagine FD's priority right now is getting the Elite PS4 release out of the door. As any future content updates are going to need to be coded for the PS4 version too, I think maybe that is having a delaying effect, with all else on the back burner at the moment until PS4 version is done.

Any news on new content that FD are working for future release I suspect they might want to keep under wraps to announce at the E3 Expo, 13-15 June.
