If we should follow your example we could just start to throw people we don't like in jail, just because we don't like them, my list is very very long if that would imply.
Admittedly he (or rather his companies) have been in front of a judge a whole lot of times. Most of them didn't end well.

So here's the problem: Trump sits atop the apparatus that is supposed to be investigating him. And he's been actively trying to stifle the investigation by firing Comey and warning the Director of National Intelligence and the director of the NSA to deny any evidence of collusion between the campaign and the Russians -- source
So, how can we expect a fair investigation followed by a fair ruling on guilt or innocence while Trump and the GOP are actively trying to subvert the process?

Between two event this loosely connected logically this far from each others? There are no necessarily a connection however there can be a very loose connection. but it's until proven otherwise is unlikely.
You need many cases to see the emerging pattern and say it with great but not 100% certainty, and even than you can be wrong, you can't be sure what's the real cause, so investigation / experimentation is necessary.
