VR HMD artery blockade

Hi,

A thing got me a little worried, when wearing the mask there is some pressure on the forehead just above the eyes and slightly outwards where there are quite large blood vessels.

Is it harmful when these blood vessels are pressurized / blocked by the HMD?

Yeah sure. I guess these surface vessels are not that critical as the ones inside to the brain.

Anyway, when you hold your finger on the corner above the eye you can feel the blood pulsation.

And when the HMD is putting pressure on this area it got me worried if this is really good or not?

So far i havent heard of any health problems concerning blood vessel blockage from wearing HMDs or other similar goggle-like devices.

I haven't had heard of, or noticed any problems. The HMD spreads the pressure out pretty well. Something I discovered with the Rift is that it's easy to over-tighten it, but this is more of a comfort issue. At least for me, most of the pressure is above the brow line, and on the cheeks, and not so much around the temples where there is more of a noticeable pulse. I think you'll be fine as long as you don't over-tighten it to a ridiculous degree.

The built in springs in the side straps are not fully extended so the pressure is set by those and does not change.

Ok thanks. I was just wondering since there are vessels where the contact points are of the hmd
