Not sure if this has already been said.. BUT!

Star Citizen has Martin Galway working on the music.

Now, I applaud the sound guys for ED, they are doing a superb job.

But.. I have one thing to say.

We NEED Rob Hubbard on the job!! :D

Considering that he composed music for several Origin games, including Wing Commander titles, it's not really a surprise, isn't it?

Galway

Yes !! But he's not writing any music, just overseeing the 'sound' in general. I wish he was writing music, but for ED.

Personally since we can't have MG I'd love to see Tim Follin do one if his crazy prog rock pieces for Elite Dangerous. Or pull Dave Lowe back.
Gaz.

If all else fails...Depeche Mode - Enjoy the silence in deep space may work...or some AC/DC for combat tracks...

The sound is fantastic as it is. I was playing last night and my daughter even remarked it sounded similar to Star Wars. The engine sounds etc are fantastic.

I can only give my appreciation to the composer and sounds crew who are doing a fantastic job

I have to say the music in the game is yet another part of it which I consider to be fantastic. I love the way that when combat starts, an appropriate score kicks in - it really adds to the cinematic feeling.

As long as the Blue Danube and the Frontier (Elite 2) intro music make it in, I will be very happy. :)

As well as the Blue Danube of course which HAS to be in there, I would also love to see Jamie Treacher's (one of our own) reinterpretation of the Frontier theme in there (if you are still visiting here Jamie... any chance of you redoing the First Encounters main theme too? :) ).

I think Erasmus's work so far has been fantastic. really adds to the game.

I hate music in video games. It often is just annoying and distracting. I always turn off music when playing.

There's tons of very good composers waiting for their break out. I just wanted to say THANK YOU to sound team and composer for awesome work they have done so far. While I might tune on my own sound track after some time, what I have heard so far is just amazing.

oh yeah, please dont take it the wrong way, I think everything audiowise in the game is great!!! I just always like any chance to reminisce about the old days when videogame music was special, and winters were cold, and summers hot (etc etc etc ;) )

edit, ohh and on the subject of classic videogame music writers never forget Alistair Brimble and Tim Follin
